A notable example is the "Military-Civilian Village" model, implemented in Ho Vau hamlet, Lang Giang commune (Bac Ninh province). Colonel Luu Van Cao, Secretary of the Party Committee and Political Commissar of the 673rd Air Defense Brigade, stated: Stemming from non-traditional security challenges, natural disasters, and epidemics, in 2023, the Party Committee and command of the Brigade developed the "Military-Civilian Village" model with the aim of effectively implementing criteria related to building the political system; ensuring national defense and security; developing production and business; building new rural areas; eliminating temporary and dilapidated houses; and improving the material and spiritual lives of the people. This contributes to enhancing the noble qualities of the Ho Chi Minh's soldiers in the hearts of the people.

During the implementation process, the unit coordinated with local authorities to develop content, criteria, and regulations for coordinated activities. Since 2023, the unit has worked with the people to build roads, improve the green, clean, and beautiful environment; organized two "Military-Civilian Fields," participating in helping people harvest rice, plant crops, and overcome the consequences of flooding, and dredging irrigation canals; provided 170 man-days of labor to build "Houses of Great Solidarity"; supported the construction and maintenance of a "Military-Civilian Library" with more than 50 books and an electronic library; established a "Military-Civilian Zalo Group" and a "Military-Civilian Performing Arts Team."
According to Lieutenant Colonel Nguyen Quang Lam, Head of Political Affairs of the 673rd Air Defense Brigade, since the "Military-Civilian Village" model was implemented, the unit and the local authorities have organized many practical activities such as: disseminating the Party's guidelines and policies, the State's laws and regulations; the Military Service Law; the political security situation, social order and safety in the area; cultural and artistic exchanges, sports activities, etc. Through these activities, the bond between the unit and the local authorities has become even stronger and more enduring, contributing to building a "people's support" in a solid national defense system. Currently, the model has been replicated throughout the entire Air Defense Corps.
Besides effectively implementing the "Military-Civilian Village" model, with the motto "proactively reaching out to the people," the unit has proactively assessed the local situation and proposed to the local Party committee and government the implementation of many programs and tasks to help the people, such as: establishing "Saturday and Sunday People's Assistance Teams," "Village and Hamlet Environmental Sanitation Teams," etc. After Typhoon Matmo passed (October 2025), the unit proactively deployed forces, vehicles, and materials to help people overcome the consequences of the storm in Lang Giang commune, Tien Luc commune, and Kinh Bac ward ( Bac Ninh province) with more than 500 officers and soldiers, and donated 250 gifts worth more than 50 million VND. In 2025, the Brigade was awarded a certificate of merit by the General Political Department and the People's Committee of Bac Ninh province for its outstanding achievements in civilian affairs work.
In the coming period, the unit is determined to continue improving and upgrading the "Military-Civilian Village" model in a more proactive and effective manner, expanding its operational area; implementing the motto "respect the people, be close to the people, understand the people, learn from the people, and be responsible to the people"; and improving the quality of programs and tasks to effectively assist the people. Through this, it will contribute to building a safe unit in conjunction with a safe locality, maintaining political security, order, and social safety in the area where the unit is stationed.
