Program 'Hanoi's Marks': Recreating the 70-year heroic history of the Capital

The program “ Hanoi’s Marks” will use art to “distill” a part of Hanoi’s culture and history, helping the audience better understand the 70-year heroic and proud history of the Capital, the development, and the harmonious beauty between tradition and modernity of the Capital today.

That was the sharing of General Director Pham Hoang Giang about the opening art program of Hanoi Days in Ho Chi Minh City taking place on the evening of August 23 at Nguyen Hue walking street, Ho Chi Minh City, towards the 70th anniversary of the Liberation Day of the Capital (October 10, 1954 - October 10, 2024).

The program's message aims to depict the historical milestones, the present milestones and the future milestones in the period of integration and development. All of these have created a capital city of Hanoi that connects the historical sources and the quintessence of the nation, a place where the patriotism, love of peace , solidarity and aspiration of the entire nation converge, crystallize and shine.

The program opened with the report "Hanoi in the flow of 70 years" about the capital during 70 years of striving, building and developing.

After the reportage is an art program recreating the heroic historical journey of the nation, starting from the love, pride and honor of Hanoians in particular and Vietnamese people in general. The audience will see the image of the heroic army returning to take over Hanoi in the joy of the whole nation.

In the section “The Fragrance of Hanoi,” the program introduces the cultural identity and people of Hanoi, a blend of tradition and modernity. The works performed in this section are: “Xam Ha Noi,” “Sacred and Gallant Hanoi,” “Remembering Autumn in Hanoi,” etc.

The section “The Flow of the Times” will depict the image of Hanoi today, which has developed brilliantly in many aspects. Hanoi, along with Ho Chi Minh City and other provinces and cities, are bringing a great source of internal strength to the entire Vietnamese people. That is the strength of the spirit of great national unity.

Songs performed in this section include: “Hello Ho Chi Minh City – Hello city,” “Hanoi-Ho Chi Minh City continues to write dreams,” mash-up “Hanoi-Ho Chi Minh City-Vietnam Homeland” …

The program has the participation of many famous artists: Tung Duong, Dao Mac, Nguyen Ngoc Anh, Ho Trung Dung, Vu Thang Loi, Dong Hung, Dao To Loan, MTV Group, Quach Mai Thy, Thang Long Puppetry Theater, Hong Kien Orchestra, Mai Trang Dance Group...

“Hanoi's Red Marks” is broadcast live on Hanoi Radio and Television, Ho Chi Minh City Television and rebroadcast in many localities nationwide.

Along with the opening program, Hanoi Days in Ho Chi Minh City also has a series of attractive events such as: Exhibition introducing Thang Long Imperial Citadel; introducing the exhibition of paintings and photos of the special national relic Van Mieu-Quoc Tu Giam; introducing the quintessence of Vietnamese Confucianism at Nguyen Thai Son Primary School; photo exhibition of the 70th anniversary of the Liberation of the Capital at the Long Bien Bridge model area; activities to promote products, promote tourism linking Hanoi and Ho Chi Minh City; promote and introduce Hanoi cuisine; art exchange program "Young Melody" on the evening of August 24 at the main stage.../.
