"The Aspiration for Peace " is a five-volume series covering five prominent periods that bear significant historical imprints of Vietnam. These are: The significance of the victory in the Tet Offensive and Uprising of 1968; The aspiration for peace and national reunification, with crucial decisions leading to the victory in 1975; The Spring Offensive of 1975, achieving national independence and freedom, liberating the South completely, and unifying the country; The process of implementing the Doi Moi (Renovation) policy and the country's achievements after 50 years; and the Party's important decisions in response to the new global situation.

Each episode of "Aspiration for Peace" is approximately 30 minutes long, featuring valuable documentary footage, authentic accounts from those involved, and revolutionary leaders from the wartime period to the present day, providing viewers with vivid images and genuine perspectives on each stage of the country's history.

In episode 1, the footage presents viewers with images of the devastating effects of war, yet the Vietnamese army and people remained steadfast in their fight. From the victory at Dien Bien Phu, which repelled the French colonialists, the signing of the 1954 Geneva Accords, to the Tet Offensive and Uprising of 1968, it was a relentless journey of struggle and sacrifice. Under the leadership of the Party, our army and people never gave up, continuing many heroic campaigns from the Dong Khoi Uprising to the Central Highlands, the Mekong Delta, Cu Chi, Saigon - Gia Dinh… A historical turning point was the birth of the National Liberation Front of South Vietnam, creating a united and steadfast people's war, gradually leading to the Tet Offensive and Uprising of 1968.

To achieve peace, countless hardships, sacrifices, and bloodshed were shed by our soldiers and people. Episodes 2 and 3 present viewers with images of the 1972 Dien Bien Phu air battle, the negotiations leading to the 1973 Paris Agreement, the unwavering journey of the liberation army traversing the Truong Son mountain range to support the South amidst bombs and bullets, and the Great Victory of Spring 1975, which completely liberated the South and unified the country. Each scene recreates the heroic spirit of our soldiers and people. History is vividly brought to life through these authentic and emotional film clips and narratives.

In episodes 4 and 5, Vietnam bravely overcame challenges and difficulties; the entire Party, army, and people united to develop the country into a prosperous and happy nation. The task of rebuilding the country after the war was not easy, but with unwavering faith and determination, our Party and State gradually built an independent and self-reliant Vietnam as it is today.

The documentary "Aspiration for Peace" not only recreates the struggle for national independence and nation-building over the past half-century, but also pays tribute to those who have fallen and inspires today's generation to continue building an independent, strong, and compassionate Vietnam.
