1. In recent times, thanks to the efforts of various departments, agencies, units, and organizations, training courses in diverse fields and content have closely followed practical needs and the demands of trainees, innovating in format and selecting appropriate topics with high practical applicability. This has contributed to improving the quality and effectiveness of the training courses. In particular, many training courses are not only held in classrooms but also extend to field trips and hands-on training, allowing trainees to apply their knowledge immediately after completion. Many courses are also held locally, reducing travel and accommodation costs and maximizing convenience for learners.

However, the quality of training remains a matter of concern. Some training courses only attract a large number of participants on the first day, with attendance dwindling afterward, and even certificates are awarded to a handful of students. In some training courses on traditional cultural preservation, the performance results were not as expected; sometimes, "microphones weren't provided for the students to perform because their singing wasn't good enough" (?!). And there are many other unspoken issues arising from training courses throughout the province.
2. Recently, training in artificial intelligence (AI) has been receiving significant attention from many agencies and organizations in the context of the comprehensive implementation of Resolution No. 57/NQ-TW, dated December 22, 2024, of the Politburo on breakthroughs in science and technology development, innovation, and national digital transformation. This is very encouraging, helping learners expand their knowledge and apply it to their practical work. However, not all training courses achieve the desired results.
Some training courses invite instructors with diverse skills and practical experience, but their delivery methods are confusing for the audience, especially for topics requiring clear and detailed explanations like AI. Some content in later classes has already been covered in previous ones, leading to repetition and a loss of interest among participants. Many students attend with the mindset of "worrying they will fall behind if they don't learn," but after a few sessions, they lose patience and may drop out due to work commitments. Sometimes, instructors have to wait almost an hour before they can begin the class. After the training, instructors in some class groups on Zalo (a Vietnamese messaging app) try to update students on AI, but they are met with indifference and little interest from the participants.
3. Training is one of the effective solutions to both enhance knowledge and skills, and to create opportunities for interaction and sharing of experiences between instructors and learners, and among learners themselves. However, without effective implementation solutions, many training courses will be merely 형식적인 (formalistic), ineffective, and costly to organize.
Besides developing practical training plans that are relevant to the learners and closely aligned with the set requirements and tasks, the implementing unit needs to carefully select suitable instructors, consult training topics, and avoid unnecessary duplication. During implementation, this should be viewed as a professional task for the learners, with monitoring, supervision, and reminders to ensure the quality of the training. For the learners themselves, their learning attitude is always directly linked to the quality of knowledge acquired. Therefore, a serious learning spirit is needed, "coming to learn, returning to apply." After the training, results should be reviewed and evaluated, and lessons learned should be applied to subsequent training sessions; at the same time, the connection between instructors and learners needs to be maintained. Agencies and units sending trainees to participate in the training should provide maximum support, avoiding situations where trainees are "in the classroom but their minds are at work." Only then will the training courses truly fulfill their mission.
