Tea Conversation

Nestled quietly in a small corner on Ba Huyen Thanh Quan Street (Ngu Hanh Son Ward), SANH coffee shop is a tranquil haven. No large signs, no loud music. Only the scent of old wood, the delicate aroma of tea, and a space where authentic Vietnamese culture is cherished and preserved.

Every Sunday afternoon, from 2 PM to 3 PM, this place hosts a tea talk called "Tea Conversations" - a leisurely journey where stories are told through the color, aroma, and taste of the tea itself.

Over the course of an hour, attendees took turns tasting four types of specialty tea.

Starting with ancient Shan Snow Green Tea, with its delicate aroma, clear taste, mild astringency, and lingering sweet aftertaste, like a gentle breeze at the beginning of the season.

Next comes lightly fermented white tea, clear yet profound, as if gathering all the essence of heaven and earth in a single, relaxing sip; Shan Snow Yellow Tea, with its aroma of ripe fruit and hints of wildflowers, has a smooth, soft taste and a deep, sweet aftertaste, like a quiet stream of memories flowing back.

And finally, the Oolong tea infused with magnolia blossoms is refreshing like a summer dream, leaving behind an indescribable sense of peace.

Tea time at SÀNH is not just about drinking tea, but also an opportunity to learn how to listen to the whispers of tea.

From the color of the tea in the cup, the delicate twist of each dried tea leaf, to the lingering aroma in the porcelain glaze and the aftertaste on the tongue—each seemingly simple detail, when perceived with tranquility, becomes a gateway to the world of traditional Vietnamese flavors, rich in cultural depth.

SÀNH doesn't create elaborate rituals for "Tea Conversation." Just a few wooden tables, eight seats, enough to keep the conversation flowing, so that each guest becomes a companion, not just a listener.

The tea is poured as in the old days: simple and slow, just like how our grandparents used to sit on the porch, sipping it while telling stories about the village and the seasons...

Without a script, the storyteller of this tea conversation is neither an artisan nor an expert. Simply a tea lover, someone who lives with tea and has faith in it.

The story of tea at SÀNH also tells the story of Vietnamese agricultural products.

No imported teas are sold here. SÀNH only selects teas grown on our motherland, teas that have lived with the sun and rain of their homeland, breathed the local air, and been nurtured by the hands of Vietnamese people.

“SANH was built on the simple desire to bring Vietnamese agricultural products closer to domestic and international consumers through familiar everyday beverages,” shared Ly Minh Bao, co-founder of SANH.

From there, SÀNH established a clear criterion: 100% Vietnamese. Vietnamese specialties, produced in Vietnam, owned by Vietnamese people.

Therefore, "Tea Stories" at SÀNH is not just a journey of taste appreciation. It's also a way to connect with ethical farming , with local origins, and with gratitude.

To be honest, not everyone falls in love with tea the first time they try it. But if you want a quiet hour to refresh your heart, broaden your palate, and let the little story of tea weave into a busy Sunday, try sitting down with SÀNH.
