Every local resident and tourist is a tourism "ambassador".
Amidst the celebratory atmosphere marking this historic milestone for the nation, the Ho Chi Minh City Department of Tourism has officially launched a series of special activities aimed at strongly promoting the city's image to both local residents and domestic and international tourists.
According to Ms. Nguyen Thi Anh Hoa, Director of the Ho Chi Minh City Department of Tourism, since 2024, the Department has conducted surveys and developed special tour programs linked to historical and revolutionary sites, heritage, and local culture.
These factors have contributed to the vibrant image of tourism in Saigon - Ho Chi Minh City. Developing tourism stimulus programs and implementing a city tourism promotion campaign that attracts the participation of every citizen with the message "Every citizen is a tourism ambassador," ready to accompany and send warm, hospitable greetings to domestic and international friends during this important "welcoming" occasion.
Through this, visitors can "find the true essence, experience the true feeling" on their journey of exploring the city. This is also how Ho Chi Minh City proudly recounts its 50-year journey of remarkable development - honoring its glorious past and affirming its position as a modern, dynamic, and vibrant metropolis, ready to welcome visitors from all over the world .
“Recognizing this as a once-in-a-50-year opportunity to promote tourism, Ho Chi Minh City has not only improved existing products but also launched a series of new ones, offering the most impressive and beautiful experiences for tourists. The goal is for each visitor to not only return but also become a genuine tourism ambassador, promoting the image of Ho Chi Minh City to friends around the world. It's not simply about keeping tourists in the city longer, encouraging them to spend more, and ensuring their satisfaction. We also see this as an opportunity to spread the image of the city's people and culture across the globe, fostering cultural exchange and attracting investment through tourism, thus contributing to Ho Chi Minh City's rise in the new era of the nation,” Ms. Hoa affirmed.

Cultural and historical tours attract many visitors.
On this occasion, many tourism businesses have introduced a series of cultural and historical tours, ranging from short trips within the city to longer journeys connecting with neighboring localities.
In particular, the tours are designed to suit a wide range of tourists, combining visits to historical sites with hands-on experiences, giving visitors a deeper understanding of the nation's history.
In addition, themed city tours linked to museums, architectural heritage, and nighttime sightseeing programs have been revamped, aiming to vividly tell the story of the city's 50-year history and development.
According to a representative from Saigontourist Travel, tours to historical sites, revolutionary landmarks, and new attractions in Ho Chi Minh City have become top choices, attracting a large number of locals and tourists.
This includes the tour series "50 Years - Returning to the Beloved South," specially designed to pay tribute to the soldiers who achieved the great victory of Spring 1975. Since March, it has served more than 100 groups nationwide.
To meet the needs of tourists, the company has expanded its range of specialized tours to the Cu Chi Tunnels, Can Gio, Binh Chanh, Thu Duc, and neighboring provinces, combining visits with encounters with historical witnesses. Onboard, you'll hear untold stories; beneath your feet lies sacred land, places where history is recorded; and in your heart, a burning pride that will never fade.
