The Kien Giang Provincial Military Command further stated that the unit handed over a house to Mr. Tran Van Huong, a former soldier of the Kien Hai Infantry Company, Kien Hai District Military Command, who was facing housing difficulties.
Mr. Huong currently resides in Ta Teng hamlet (Phu Loi commune, Giang Thanh district). The house handed over to Mr. Huong is solidly built on his family's land, covering an area of over 90 square meters , with a corrugated iron roof and tiled floor, valued at over 150 million VND. Of this amount, the Provincial Military Command's fund for building houses for comrades contributed 50 million VND, with the remaining amount contributed by the family.
"I am very happy that my long-held dream of having a new house has finally come true. Thank you to the local authorities and especially the Provincial Military Command for providing financial support to help me build this house. With this house built by my comrades, I will have a more joyful and warm Lunar New Year celebration in 2025," Mr. Huong said happily.
In addition, the Provincial Military Command handed over houses to Mr. Thi Trung Hau - a former soldier of the Phu My Border Guard Regiment, and Mr. Phan Minh Lanh - a former soldier of Battalion 207, Regiment 893, who were also facing housing difficulties in Phu Loi commune.
Supporting the construction of houses for fellow soldiers during the "Military-Civilian Tet" in 2025 is a meaningful act, caring for the lives of military officers and soldiers who are currently serving or have retired, been discharged, or are facing housing difficulties.
