Despite the VN-Index experiencing several declining sessions, Yeah1 shares maintained a streak of four consecutive days of hitting the upper limit, reaching 19,000 VND.

Shares of Yeah1 Group Joint Stock Company (stock code: YEG) continued to open the trading session on Friday (December 20th) in the purple zone, pushing the share price to its highest level in over a year. The trading volume before the midday break reached approximately 3.8 million shares, equivalent to over 70 billion VND.

This marks the fourth consecutive day of hitting the upper limit for shares of the producer of "Brother Overcoming a Thousand Obstacles." This upward trend has pushed the share price from 14,600 VND to 19,000 VND. This stock has become one of the rare stocks on the Ho Chi Minh City exchange that consistently bucks the market trend. Consequently, its market capitalization has reached over 2,603 billion VND.

Yesterday, YEG set a record for liquidity with a trading volume of approximately 13.6 million shares, more than seven times the previous session and equivalent to a value of nearly 240 billion VND.

The surge in YEG's stock price followed the success of the program "Brothers Overcoming Thousands of Obstacles," which aired from June 2024. The program, featuring famous artists such as Tu Long, Bang Kieu, Tuan Hung, and Soobin Hoang Son, generated significant buzz and attracted numerous major brands to sponsor it.

Amidst the stock price surge, Yeah1 recorded impressive business results. Specifically, the company's net revenue in the third quarter of 2024 reached VND 345 billion, more than three times higher than the same period last year. Gross profit exceeded VND 79 billion, 3.6 times higher than the same period last year. Consequently, the gross profit margin increased from 20% to 23%.

After deducting expenses, the company reported a net profit of over 34 billion VND, nearly 11 times higher than the 3.2 billion VND recorded in the same period last year. This is the company's highest quarterly profit since the first quarter of 2022.

For the first nine months of the year, Yeah1 recorded net revenue of VND 629 billion, 2.5 times higher than the same period in 2023. Of this, advertising and media consulting contributed VND 560 billion, with the remainder coming from content licensing, service provision, and e-commerce. Gross profit for this period was approximately VND 111 billion, double that of the same period last year. The gross profit margin reached 17.5%, a decrease of 4.5 percentage points compared to the same period.

Financial revenue reached VND 101 billion, more than three times higher than the same period last year. Of this, profit from divesting subsidiaries contributed approximately VND 60 billion, and interest income from deposits exceeded VND 21 billion. Yeah1 reported pre-tax profit of over VND 59 billion and after- tax profit of approximately VND 56 billion, respectively seven times and 4.5 times higher than the same period last year.

This year, Yeah1 aims for revenue of 800-1,100 billion VND, an increase of 94-167% compared to 2023. The company expects after-tax profit of 65-105 billion VND, an increase of over 145-296% compared to last year. After the first three quarters, the producer of "Brother Overcoming a Thousand Obstacles" has completed 57-79% of its revenue plan and 53-86% of its profit target.

As of the end of the third quarter of 2024, the company's debt reached VND 531 billion, a sharp increase compared to VND 203 billion in the same period of the previous year. Yeah1 stated that it borrowed nearly VND 190 billion to strengthen its production and business resources and to acquire shares and capital contributions in other companies. Accounts receivable accounted for 66% of Yeah1's asset structure. This is a major problem that the company faces due to the inefficient allocation of assets.

The company plans to issue 54.8 million shares (equivalent to 40% of the outstanding shares) to existing shareholders. The charter capital will increase from VND 1,370 billion to VND 1,900 billion if the issuance is successful.
