In 2026, 23 military schools will recruit 5,420 students for military-level university and college programs, an increase of over 1,000 compared to last year. The Political Officer School is the unit recruiting the most students with 779 places.
This is the first year the Ministry of Defense has organized its own aptitude test for university admissions.
Besides this method, military schools recruit students through three other methods, including: direct admission according to the regulations of the Ministry of Education and Training; admission based on the 2026 high school graduation exam scores; and admission based on the aptitude test scores of Hanoi National University and Ho Chi Minh City National University.
