For the 2026-2027 school year, the entire province has 12,046 students registering to take the entrance exam for 10th grade in high schools, an increase of 958 students compared to 2025-2026. Of these, 11,449 candidates registered to take the exam for high schools, an increase of 549 compared to the previous year's exam. Specifically, Chu Van An Specialized High School has 885 registered candidates, an increase of 162; ethnic boarding schools have 1,518 registered candidates, an increase of 191 compared to the previous year. After a period of review, knowledge consolidation, and psychological preparation, the candidates are now ready to enter the first day of the 10th grade entrance exam for the 2026-2027 school year.
At Tan Thanh Secondary School in Tan Doan commune, nearly 70 ninth-grade students registered for the exam this school year. In the final days before the exam, after each review session in class, many teachers stayed behind to help students review exam questions, analyze different types of problems, guide them on how to present their answers, and remind them of common mistakes. The review questions were structured according to skill levels, from basic to advanced, helping students systematize their knowledge and practice their exam-solving skills within the allotted time. Hoang Bao Yen, a student in class 9A, said: "During the exam preparation process, the teachers were always dedicated to guiding and explaining the parts of the knowledge we didn't understand and encouraging us to maintain a stable mindset. At this point, I have fully prepared my knowledge and mindset and am ready to enter the exam."

To prepare for the exam, the Department of Education and Training has implemented review sessions since the beginning of the school year, directing schools to develop plans that are appropriate to students' abilities and closely follow the curriculum requirements. Since the beginning of the school year, the department has organized three training courses for teachers to review for the exams in Mathematics, Literature, and English; and established core teacher teams to directly advise and guide review sessions in 100% of communes and wards throughout the province. In addition, from March to May 2026, the department organized two mock entrance exams for grade 10 to allow schools to assess students' abilities and adjust review content to better suit each student group.
Along with the review process, the conditions for organizing the exam have also been prepared synchronously at the examination boards. The entire province has established 24 examination centers with 489 examination rooms, an increase of 1 center and 21 rooms compared to 2025. The Department of Education and Training has mobilized more than 1,200 management staff and teachers to serve as invigilators, along with 340 police officers , medical personnel, security guards, and support staff. The Department has also organized training on the use of online enrollment software, provided professional training for invigilators, and disseminated examination regulations, situational handling skills, and measures to prevent high-tech cheating. At this point, the examination centers have completed their infrastructure, organizational plans, and personnel, ready for the exam to take place safely, seriously, and in accordance with regulations.
At the 2026-2027 high school entrance exam for 10th grade, Huu Lung High School had the largest number of candidates in the entire province, with over 1,100 candidates taking the exam in 47 examination rooms. In the days leading up to the exam, the school thoroughly reviewed all facilities, including the electrical system, fans, desks and chairs, the examination board's offices, and other security and safety conditions in the examination area. Simultaneously, the school assigned teachers and staff to coordinate the preparation of examination room layouts, post candidate lists, guide candidates to the examination rooms, and develop plans to assist candidates during the registration process. Mr. Nguyen Thai Duong, the school principal, stated: "At this point, preparations at the examination site are complete. All conditions for the exam have been carefully checked to ensure that the exam takes place safely, seriously, and in accordance with regulations."
To ensure the smooth running of the exam, the education sector has coordinated with the police, health , electricity, and telecommunications forces to develop plans to ensure security, safety, healthcare, and maintain electricity and internet access at the examination sites. High schools where examination sites are located have completed preparations for examination rooms, rooms for storing exam papers and answer sheets, fire prevention and control plans, traffic management, and the deployment of personnel on duty 24/7 during the exam period. In addition, support measures for candidates have been implemented, such as providing free drinking water, establishing volunteer youth teams to assist at examination sites, and identifying students from disadvantaged backgrounds to provide timely support, contributing to helping candidates feel secure entering the 2026-2027 high school entrance exam.
