On the morning of March 29th in Bac Ninh , Dabaco Vietnam Group held the inauguration ceremony for the Dacovet vaccine factory and announced the commercial launch of the Dacovet - ASF2 African Swine Fever vaccine.
Attending the ceremony were Vice Chairman of the National Assembly Le Minh Hoan, Deputy Minister of Agriculture and Environment Nguyen Hoang Hiep, and Chairman of the People's Committee of Bac Ninh province Vuong Quoc Tuan.
According to information from Dabaco Vietnam Group, the Dacovet vaccine factory has a total investment of over 300 billion VND, a capacity of 200 million vaccine doses per year, and is the 12th vaccine factory in Vietnam.
Dacovet is equipped with modern production lines imported from the USA, Germany, and Japan, along with a fully automated bottle loading and unloading system for its freeze-drying machines—an advanced and unique technology in Vietnam.
In addition, Dacovet has invested in an automated packaging system and strict quality control, ensuring that 100% of products undergo sensory inspection and leak detection before being released to the market…
Currently, the Dacovet factory's production line has been certified with Good Manufacturing Practice (GMP-WHO).

Mr. Nguyen Nhu So, Chairman of the Board of Directors of Dabaco Vietnam Group, shared that the Dacovac - ASF2 African Swine Fever vaccine was developed from the attenuated ASFV-G-ΔI177L/ΔLVR virus strain and PIPEC cell line transferred by the United States Department of Agriculture (USDA).
The Dacovac - ASF2 vaccine is the result of a long process of careful, scientific research and testing, under the strict supervision of specialized veterinary management agencies, confirming its safety, efficacy, and effectiveness.
The vaccine was officially licensed for commercial use on February 28, 2025, becoming a "biological shield" for the pig farming industry in Vietnam after heavy losses caused by African swine fever since 2019.
With its 3F+ strategy (Feed, Farm, Food & Future), Dabaco not only addresses immediate challenges but also aims for a sustainable agricultural value chain. Therefore, Mr. Nguyen Nhu So reaffirmed that the Dacovet vaccine factory and the Dacovac - ASF2 vaccine are the first steps for Dabaco to conquer the Asian market, gradually bringing Vietnam onto the global biotechnology map.

Speaking at the ceremony, Deputy Minister of Agriculture and Environment Nguyen Hoang Hiep acknowledged and highly appreciated the close and effective cooperation between the Ministry of Agriculture and Environment, domestic and foreign scientists, and Dabaco Vietnam Group to achieve the result of the Dacovac - ASF2 African Swine Fever vaccine product today.
Deputy Minister Nguyen Hoang Hiep emphasized that the Dacovac - ASF2 vaccine is proof that, with systematic research investment, determination, and a spirit of solidarity and support from the state, scientists, and businesses, Vietnamese enterprises can completely research, produce, and master leading modern technologies in the world today, including biotechnology and vaccine technology.
With the desire to go beyond just the Dacovac - ASF2 African Swine Fever vaccine, Deputy Minister Nguyen Hoang Hiep suggested that Dabaco Vietnam Group, along with other businesses in the agricultural sector and specialized units of the Ministry of Agriculture and Environment, continue to cooperate more extensively in research and application of science and technology, effectively responding to Resolution No. 57-NQ/TW dated December 22, 2024, of the Politburo on breakthroughs in the development of science, technology, innovation, and national digital transformation.
