Resolution 54 - NQ/TW of the Politburo aims to build Thua Thien Hue into a centrally-run city on the basis of preserving and promoting the values of the ancient capital's heritage and Hue's cultural identity, with the characteristics of "Culture, heritage, ecology, landscape, environmental friendliness and intelligence".
After 4 years of implementation, in the context of many difficulties and challenges, especially the COVID-19 pandemic, along with consecutive natural disasters and floods, at the same time, implementing Resolution 1264/NQ-UBTVQH14 dated April 27, 2021 of the National Assembly Standing Committee on adjusting administrative boundaries of district-level administrative units, effective from July 1, 2021; in which, adjusting the entire natural area and population size of 5 commune-level administrative units of Phu Vang district merged into Hue city has directly affected the implementation process of the Resolution.
With determination to strive, efforts to focus on leadership and drastic implementation, Phu Vang has achieved great achievements in the process of implementing Resolution 54-NQ/TW of the Politburo as well as Resolution No. 14 NQ/TU dated April 17, 2020 of the Provincial Party Committee on the urban development program of Thua Thien Hue province to 2025 and orientation to 2030. In 2023 alone, Phu Vang successfully achieved socio -economic development targets, all main targets were achieved and exceeded the plan, in which production value reached 4,963 billion VND; aquaculture and fishing output reached 20,700 tons; total social investment capital increased by 3,180 billion VND; average income per capita reached 67.7 million VND; the poverty rate decreased to 2.27%; Urbanization rate reached 33.21%; mobilized investment resources to develop infrastructure and urban embellishment; promoted administrative reform associated with digital transformation.
With the determination to strongly innovate the leadership methods of Party committees at all levels, improve the effectiveness and efficiency of the political system from the district to the grassroots level, the Party building work and the political system building of Phu Vang District Party Committee have achieved many positive results. In addition, the dissemination of Resolution 54 of the Politburo and Resolution 14 of the Provincial Party Committee has been widely deployed to every cadre, party member and people of all walks of life.
Speaking at the announcement ceremony, Mr. Phan Xuan Toan requested the inspection agencies and units to uphold their spirit and responsibility in preparing and building self-inspection reports, closely coordinate, provide complete and timely documents; proactively arrange appropriate working time for the Inspection Team to complete their tasks well. Through this inspection, the Standing Committee of Phu Vang District Party Committee needs to continue to promote the achieved results, seriously and promptly overcome limitations and shortcomings in leadership, direction, and effective organization and implementation of Resolution 54 of the Politburo and Resolution 14 of the Provincial Party Committee in order to successfully implement the goals and tasks of the Resolution of the 16th Provincial Party Congress and the 13th National Party Congress.
