Integrating blockchain technology into national digital platforms is opening up new approaches to government administration and public service delivery.

On December 18th, a conference reviewing one year of implementing the Government's Action Program to execute Resolution 57-NQ/TW, along with five years of administrative reform and four years of implementing Project 06, was held at the Government Office . The conference was chaired by Prime Minister Pham Minh Chinh and attended by government leaders, ministries, agencies, localities, and the business community.

At the conference, many results of applying science and technology in digital transformation were reported, including the deployment of blockchain technology to state management problems.

Notably, the Ministry of Public Security 's solution for tracing the origin of precursors and chemicals has been built on a blockchain platform and directly integrated into the VNeID application. This contributes to strengthening supply chain control, ensuring data integrity, and supporting regulatory agencies in their monitoring work.

These solutions are implemented based on the Vietnam Blockchain Multi-Chain Service Network (VBSN), a blockchain infrastructure developed with a long-term vision in collaboration with the Ministry of Science and Technology. After a period of construction and refinement, VBSN has gradually formed a shared technology infrastructure, meeting the requirements for deploying blockchain applications in both the public and private sectors.

Reporting at the conference, Mr. Phan Duc Trung, Chairman of the Vietnam Blockchain and Digital Assets Association (VBA), stated that Blockchain-as-a-Service solutions on VBSN not only serve the fields of security and specialized management but also expand to many other areas.

Some typical applications include a system for tracking projects with signs of risk, a pilot digital map in Da Nang, and decentralized identification and authentication solutions in the banking and finance sector.

According to Mr. Phan Duc Trung, integrating blockchain into national digital platforms like VNeID helps Vietnam move closer to its goal of mastering data infrastructure and core technologies. This is especially important in the context of increasingly clear demands for data sovereignty, information security, and legal compliance.

Blockchain has now been identified as a national strategic technology under Decision 1131/QD-TTg and is one of the priority technologies for implementation according to Resolution 57-NQ/TW. Gradually integrating blockchain into VNeID and other public services is a concrete step contributing to promoting national digital transformation and supporting sustainable economic growth.
