On November 1st, the Department of Planning and Investment of Binh Dinh province announced that it had decided to revoke the business registration certificate of Kim Trieu Joint Stock Company, whose director is Ms. Huynh Thi Sen (residing in Hai Cang ward, Quy Nhon city, Binh Dinh province).

This revocation is based on a request from the Binh Dinh Provincial Tax Department, due to Kim Trieu Joint Stock Company violating the regulations of the Tax Administration Law. The revocation decision is effective from October 27th, and the company is responsible for carrying out dissolution procedures as prescribed.

Previously, in December 2021, the Binh Dinh Provincial Tax Department sent a letter requesting the Provincial Department of Planning and Investment to issue a decision to revoke the business registration certificate of this company.

The hotel and wedding venue project of Kim Trieu Joint Stock Company has been unfinished for nearly 10 years in Quy Nhon City.

According to the Binh Dinh Provincial Tax Department, the unit has implemented professional measures to urge the collection of tax debts from Kim Trieu Joint Stock Company, but the company still has not paid the outstanding tax amount into the State budget.

Subsequently, the Tax Department implemented tax debt enforcement measures as prescribed by law, but was still unable to collect the outstanding tax debt from this company.

According to the tax administration system, as of June 30, 2020, Kim Trieu Joint Stock Company owed 50.56 billion VND in taxes.

Late payment penalties calculated from July 1, 2020 to December 6, 2021 (only on the tax amount owed, not on the late payment penalty) amount to VND 4.6 billion.

According to Decision No. 4924/QD-UBND dated December 27, 2019, of the People's Committee of Binh Dinh province, the land use fee increased by nearly 1 billion VND for the additional 30.55m2 of land (not included in the aforementioned tax debt of over 50 billion VND).

Thus, as of December 7, 2021, Kim Trieu Joint Stock Company still owes a total of over 55 billion VND in taxes.

As reported by VietNamNet, on October 31, the Investigation Police Department of Binh Dinh province issued a decision to initiate a criminal case, indict and detain for 4 months Ms. Huynh Thi Sen, Director of Kim Trieu Joint Stock Company, to investigate the crime of "abuse of trust to appropriate property".

According to the investigation results, since April 2018, Huynh Thi Sen, the Director of Kim Trieu Joint Stock Company, used business reasons and made commitments regarding repayment schedules to borrow large sums of money from individuals multiple times.

When the agreed-upon deadline arrived, the defendant did not have the money to repay the victim, so he added up the principal and interest to rewrite the "loan agreement," promising further repayment times. Subsequently, Sen used deceptive tactics to evade responsibility for the remaining debt in order to misappropriate the funds.
