At the talks, Deputy Minister Nguyen Minh Vu welcomed Japanese House of Representatives and Deputy Foreign Minister Komura Masahiro to visit Vietnam and attend the 9th Vietnam-Japan Festival in Ho Chi Minh City for two days. -Last March 9.
The Deputy Minister highly appreciated the Ministry of Foreign Affairs of the two countries regularly meeting and exchanging to coordinate and promote high-level agreements, concretizing the framework of the Comprehensive Strategic Partnership between the two countries, which was just upgraded last month. The Deputy Minister expressed satisfaction with the progress in economic cooperation between the two countries and in improving Vietnam's investment environment as well as cooperation in new fields such as Green Transformation, Digital Transformation, and implementation of cooperation project within the framework of Japan's Asian Net Zero Emissions Community (AZEC) Initiative.
Deputy Minister Nguyen Minh Vu proposed that the two sides promote labor cooperation and train skilled and high-quality human resources to meet the needs of the two countries; Expand the field of reception and care to create favorable and equal conditions for Vietnamese workers in Japan.
Representative of the House of Representatives, Deputy Foreign Minister of Japan Komura Masahiro expressed his gratitude for the visits and affection of Vietnamese leaders to the leaders and people of Japan regarding the damage caused by the recent earthquake on the Noto Peninsula; affirming that Vietnam has an important position in implementing Japan's foreign policy in the region.
Emphasizing the importance of the two countries upgrading to a Comprehensive Strategic Partnership and successfully organizing many large-scale events celebrating the 50th anniversary of establishing diplomatic relations in 2023, Deputy Minister Komura affirmed that the Japanese Ministry of Foreign Affairs will continue to coordinate closely with the Vietnamese Ministry of Foreign Affairs to successfully prepare visits and contacts by senior leaders of the two countries in the near future.
At the talks, the two sides discussed the world and regional situation; agreed to strengthen coordination, share positions, and cooperate on international issues of mutual concern, actively contributing to peace and prosperity in the region; Affirmed to continue to support each other at multilateral forums and international organizations./.
