Accordingly, the whole province had 98.4% of voters representing households participating in collecting people's opinions on the Project to arrange administrative units at provincial and commune levels.
Of which, the percentage of voters agreeing with the Project of Quang Binh province merging with Quang Tri province reached 97.9%; the overall percentage of voters in the whole province agreeing with the Project of rearranging 145 commune-level administrative units in the area to 41 commune-level administrative units (including 5 wards and 36 communes), reached 96.1%.
The public opinion poll was conducted by distributing ballots to voters representing households and was simultaneously deployed in communes, wards and towns in the province (except Tan Thanh commune, Minh Hoa district) because they were not subject to arrangement and consolidation.
For the project of arranging provincial-level administrative units, the opinion ballots will be sent to voters representing households with permanent residence in Quang Binh province. In Quang Tri province, the opinion collection will be organized by the Quang Tri Provincial People's Committee, according to a separate plan.

The People's Committees of districts, towns and cities shall summarize the results of the voter consultation and report to the People's Committee of Quang Binh province immediately after completion. The Department of Home Affairs shall summarize all the results and submit them to the People's Committee of the province before April 22.
Previously, on April 14, the Executive Committee of the 17th Quang Binh Provincial Party Committee issued Resolution No. 18-NQ/TU, agreeing on the plan to rearrange commune-level administrative units. According to the Resolution, after the rearrangement, the entire Quang Binh province will have 41 commune-level administrative units (including 36 communes and 5 wards).
