The determination of the University of Malaysia team.

At 3:30 PM, the final match of Group B will be between Thanh Hoa University of Culture, Sports and Tourism and the University of Malaysia. In this group, the 2025 Vietnam National University of Culture, Sports and Tourism champions, Thanh Hoa University of Culture, Sports and Tourism, have already secured their place in the semi-finals after a 3-1 victory against Nanyang Technological University (Singapore). The remaining semi-final spot is a contest between the University of Malaysia and Nanyang Technological University, both with 1 point. The Malaysian team only needs a draw against Thanh Hoa University of Culture, Sports and Tourism to advance. Even a narrow defeat against the Vietnam National University of Culture, Sports and Tourism champions would still secure the semi-final spot for Malaysia. As a strong team, the University of Malaysia, despite their unfortunate draw in their opening match, is still highly regarded. "We followed the University of Malaysia team's performance and concluded that they are a strong team with many talented players and a well-coordinated, sharp attacking style. Having already secured a place in the semi-finals, the coaching staff encouraged the players to play with a relaxed attitude, deliver exciting plays for the fans, and respect their opponents," said Coach Nguyen Cong Thanh.

Meanwhile, Coach Mohd Yazli Yahya of the University of Malaysia highly praised the Vietnamese TNSV champions. "The Thanh Hoa University of Culture, Sports and Tourism team has several outstanding players, a well-organized and disciplined playing style, and a highly focused competitive spirit. We will make appropriate adjustments to aim for victory against this team," said Mohd Yazli Yahya.

All-out battle

At 5:45 PM, the final match of Group A took place between the University of Laos and the host team, Ton Duc Thang University. In this group, the University of Life (Cambodia) had already secured their place in the next round after two consecutive wins, so the remaining spot was a direct competition between the University of Laos and Ton Duc Thang University. With an advantage in goal difference, Ton Duc Thang University only needed a draw to advance, but coach Nguyen Dinh Long and his team expressed their determination to win convincingly and also to give a gift to their fans. Striker Phan Hoai Nam continued to be the most anticipated player on the host team, Ton Duc Thang University.

Meanwhile, the University of Laos team needed a win to advance to the semi-finals. Coach Chanthalavong Ampaivanh frankly pointed out his team's weakness: the insufficient training time before the tournament meant the players from the four universities lacked optimal cohesion. "I believe my players will perform better when they play against Ton Duc Thang University. We have no other option but to win to reach the semi-finals, and we are confident we will achieve this goal," said Coach Chanthalavong Ampaivanh.

These two matches will be broadcast live onFPT Play and Thanh Nien Newspaper's platforms.
