Artist Trang Thanh Hien presents 28 ink paintings on traditional Vietnamese dó paper at the exhibition, combined with woodblock printing techniques. Her paintings are the culmination of her research into ancient Vietnamese art and Buddhism. Using symbols such as lotus flowers, Buddha images, Sala flowers, and folk motifs, Trang Thanh Hien creates a world that is both tranquil and imbued with profound inner turmoil.
Artist Trang Thanh Hien shared: "It was through studying Buddhist art, reading and understanding the messages of our ancestors, that art gave me wings to paint pictures brimming with the idea of enlightenment. 'Beautiful Life' can be seen as an exhibition marking a journey where that enlightenment blossoms, allowing me to better understand myself in the world of painting, a connection between the past, present, and future."

Besides the usual black and white tones, this time artist Trang Thanh Hien brings to the exhibition paintings with vibrant colors such as red, pink, purple, blue… with flexible variations in shade. It creates a new energy, dispelling the stresses of today's busy life.

Artist Vi Kien Thanh, Vice President of the Vietnam Fine Arts Association, commented: Artist Trang Thanh Hien impresses viewers with her paintings on Buddhism, creating a sense of peace and tranquility. She is one of the rare individuals who has achieved success both in research and as an artist.
Meanwhile, artist Tran Phuong Ly (Ly Tran) brings a different energy to "Beautiful Life": open-minded, multifaceted, and distinctly international. As an artist who has experienced multiple cultures, growing up in Vietnam, studying in Russia, and living in the United States, the works presented in the exhibition mark a significant shift in her artistic practice.
Half of artist Tran Phuong Ly's works demonstrate a style that combines impressionism and expressionism, where emotions are brought to the surface through color and the movement of brushstrokes. This ranges from images of people, flowers, and nature to inner states of mind.
The other half is a process of experimentation and exploration, opening up a new direction: organic cubist abstraction, a visual language that combines cubist structure, biological forms, and color rhythm. In this, images are fragmented, restructured, and dissolved in soft movements, evoking the living body, nature, and the flow of energy.

The exhibition "Beautiful Life" is not about formal similarity but about the profound harmony of the two artists' souls. They both aim to identify their own selves and seek enduring values in a turbulent contemporary life. While Trang Thanh Hien draws from tradition to reflect on the present, Tran Phuong Ly uses cross-cultural experiences to construct new structures of emotion and thought.
