Former US President Bill Clinton was hospitalized in Washington DC on December 23rd after developing a fever.

Bill Clinton's office said the former president went to Georgetown University Medical Center for testing and monitoring after developing a fever, adding that Clinton "remains in good spirits." NBC News, citing sources familiar with the matter, reported that Clinton's health condition is not serious.

According to AFP, Bill Clinton (78 years old) has experienced several health problems in the years after leaving office. The former US president underwent four-arterial bypass surgery in 2004 and had heart surgery in 2010. In 2021, he was hospitalized for six days due to a blood infection.

His health condition is believed to have prompted Clinton to change his lifestyle, including starting a vegetarian diet, and he has also frequently shared about his efforts. The most recent information about Clinton's health before his recent hospitalization was when he contracted Covid-19.

Clinton has been actively involved in supporting Vice President Kamala Harris's campaign this year. In August, Bill Clinton delivered a speech at the Democratic National Convention (DNC), extending his streak of speaking at the event since 1976. "I don't know how many more events like this I'll be able to attend," he said at the time.

Recently, former President Clinton also released a memoir about his life after leaving the White House in 2001. Since then, he has devoted much of his time to diplomacy and humanitarian work. Among the list of living former US presidents, Barack Obama is the youngest, followed by Clinton.
