A multifaceted emotional experience with the stars in the military.

The military training journey, with challenges no different from those faced by professional soldiers, in the 2024 season of "Sao Nhập Ngũ" (Joining the Army) is receiving much positive feedback from viewers.

Episode 5 of "Stars Join the Army" brought tears to the eyes of Mai Tài Phến as he recounted a story related to his father. Tuấn Trần also tried not to cry, but his expression revealed that the actor had to hold back a lot. These emotional moments made the "new recruits" of "Stars Join the Army 2024" understand, connect with, and share more with each other, alongside the tough challenges and battles of wits and strength they had to overcome.

With the theme "No Compromise," the 2024 "Stars Join the Army" competition features the largest number of male soldiers ever. The 14th season brings together many notable names: Xemesis (Nghiem Anh Hieu), Soobin Hoang Son, Mai Tai Phen, Mono (Nguyen Viet Hoang), Tuan Tran, 16 Typh (Pham Hoang Hai), Huynh Lap, and Phat La. This special training course takes place at the 165th Infantry Regiment, 312th Division, 1st Corps.

One of the new features of this season is that the entire process of familiarizing and experiencing the military environment has been eliminated, replaced instead by training content with increasing difficulty. In the very first episode, the soldiers had to compete in a flag-capturing game in a 5-meter-wide pool. Subsequent challenges included: field cooking competition, infantry combat techniques training: bayonet and shovel striking, close-combat skills competition, battlefield movement training: low crawl and crawling, obstacle course competition, and a four-person tug-of-war competition... They were all treated equally, without any favoritism, just like new recruits in the military.

Interestingly, even amidst these rigorous challenges, there's no shortage of laughter. For example, in episode 3, with the morning exercise and morning check-up challenges, viewers couldn't help but laugh at the "duels" between the pairs of soldiers. The image of Xemesis, with his oversized physique unable to bend over to touch the ground with his hands, or Phát La and Huỳnh Lập frankly giving each other low scores, was both serious and hilarious. Similarly, the challenges of sharing a pool, eating from the same pot, and sharing a blanket on a cold night in episode 3 also showcased the cheerful spirit of the soldiers.

The biggest strength of this season is that, through the challenges of the show, the audience has the opportunity to discover the very real, unpretentious, and genuine personalities of public figures. Mono, despite being the smallest and youngest, is calm, intelligent, resilient, and very funny. Xemesis is adorable both in appearance and in the way he overcomes each challenge. Tuan Tran and Mai Tai Phen are both composed and mature, and humorous. Huynh Lap, besides his charm and gentleness, shows great effort. Phat La shows a surprising "saltiness." 16 Typh is sophisticated, down-to-earth, and honest, while Soobin Hoang Son is full of emotion and determination. They are eight pieces of a puzzle, each with their own distinct personality, yet harmoniously united as a group.
