Anticipating the peak summer tourist season, and with efforts to reach and expand the tourist market, travel agencies in the province have proactively developed attractive tour packages. This year's trend, in addition to beach and island tourism packages combined with resort experiences, is for many tours designed based on new products and experiences that the province has introduced.

Based on surveys of tourist needs and preferences, Vietravel's Quang Ninh branch is launching a series of short- and long-day package tours to meet diverse tourist needs during the summer travel season. Besides cultural experiences at Yen Tu (Uong Bi City) or other highland areas of the province, and border tourism in Mong Cai City, beach and island tours remain a key focus of Quang Ninh tourism this summer.

This year, Bai Tu Long Bay promises to be a product of interest with many new and attractive itineraries for tourists to choose from, such as itineraries departing from Ha Long connecting Ha Long Bay and Bai Tu Long Bay, or itineraries departing from the high-end Ao Tien port in Van Don district. With Van Don's fairly complete infrastructure including expressways, airports, seaports, and increasingly upgraded accommodation systems, there will be great opportunities to attract more high-end tourist segments to Quang Ninh tourism.

Nearly 40 new tourism products have been, are being, and will be launched this year, along with approximately 170 cultural, tourism, and sports events. This provides a favorable basis for travel agencies to design new tours, increasing the attractiveness and effectiveness of tourism communication for Quang Ninh. The products are developed with a focus on linking services and destinations, improving service quality to meet the needs of diverse groups of tourists, from families and small groups to large tours. Mr. Nguyen Ha Hai, Director of Hongaitour's Quang Ninh branch, shared: "In addition to focusing on developing and selling tours in the central area of ​​Ha Long City, the company also aims to develop many products that connect along the highway from Ha Long, Tien Yen, Binh Lieu, Hai Ha, and to Mong Cai, offering experiences of border gate tourism or the islands of Vinh Thuc and Tra Co beach."

The tour itinerary on Bai Tu Long Bay is expected to increase the attractiveness of Quang Ninh's coastal and island tourism during this year's peak summer season.

According to many travel businesses, the April 30th - May 1st holiday marks the beginning of the beach tourism season. With more and more families owning private cars, and the travel distance being only about two hours, Quang Ninh has become a top favorite destination for tourists from the North. Research into tourists' travel habits shows a growing interest in authentic vacations, focusing on relaxation and privacy. Many businesses are promoting resort tourism products that align with this trend. Quang Ninh's tourism industry is also focusing on expanding tourism areas and distributing tourists to destinations with significant potential. New tourism routes are connecting four key regional centers: the central tourism area in Ha Long City and its surroundings; the cultural, historical, and spiritual tourism area in Uong Bi City, Dong Trieu City, and Quang Yen Town; beach and island tourism and entertainment in Van Don and Co To districts; and border areas in Mong Cai City. Some new tourism areas are exploiting the local cultural and historical identity in potential areas such as Hai Ha, Tien Yen, and Binh Lieu districts…

In the first three months of 2025, Quang Ninh's destinations welcomed nearly 5.7 million tourists, ranking third nationwide after Ho Chi Minh City and Hanoi. With this positive growth momentum, along with many attractive events during the April 30th - May 1st holiday this year, highlighted by the Ha Long Carnival 2025 on May 1st, Quang Ninh is expected to attract a large number of visitors during the holiday, contributing to the realization of the goal of welcoming 20 million tourists in 2025.
