This year, Bai Tu Long Bay promises to be a product of interest with many new and attractive itineraries for tourists to choose from, such as the journey departing from Ha Long connecting the two bays of Ha Long - Bai Tu Long, or the journey departing from the high-class port of Ao Tien, Van Don district. With Van Don's fairly synchronous infrastructure including highways, airports, seaports, and an increasingly upgraded accommodation system, it will be a great opportunity to attract more high-end customer segments for Quang Ninh tourism.
Nearly 40 new tourism products have been, are being and will be put into operation this year, along with about 170 cultural, tourism and sports events organized, creating a favorable basis for travel agencies to design new tours, increasing the attractiveness as well as the effectiveness of tourism communication for Quang Ninh. The products are built in the direction of linking services and destinations, improving service quality to meet the needs of diverse groups of customers, families, small groups or large groups. Mr. Nguyen Ha Hai, Director of Hongaitour Quang Ninh branch, shared: In addition to focusing on building and selling tours in the center of Ha Long City, the unit also aims to build many connecting products along the highway from Ha Long, Tien Yen, Binh Lieu, Hai Ha, and to Mong Cai to experience border gate tourism or Vinh Thuc islands, Tra Co beach.
According to many travel businesses, this April 30 - May 1 holiday marks the beginning of the beach tourism season. The fact that more and more families own private cars, and the distance is only about 2 hours, makes Quang Ninh become a top favorite destination for tourists in the North. Researching the travel habits of tourists who are increasingly interested in real vacations, focusing on relaxation, requiring private space, many businesses promote resort tourism products that suit the trend. Quang Ninh tourism industry also focuses on expanding tourism space, distributing tourist resources to destinations with much potential. New tourist routes are connected through 4 key regional centers: Central tourist area in Ha Long city and surrounding areas; cultural - historical - spiritual tourism area in Uong Bi city, Dong Trieu city, Quang Yen town; sea and island tourism, entertainment in Van Don, Co To districts and border areas in Mong Cai city area. In the first 3 months of 2025, Quang Ninh's destinations welcomed nearly 5.7 million tourists, ranking 3rd in the country after Ho Chi Minh City and Hanoi. With positive growth momentum, along with many attractive events during the April 30 - May 1 holiday this year, the highlight being the Ha Long Carnival 2025 taking place on May 1, Quang Ninh is expected to attract a large number of visitors during the holiday, contributing to realizing the goal of welcoming 20 million visitors in 2025.
