Around 1 PM on June 23rd, heavy rain lasting nearly an hour, accompanied by thunderstorms and strong winds, poured down on Da Lat City. Water from all directions rushed onto Tran Quoc Toan Street and around Xuan Huong Lake, causing flooding in many areas, with some places reaching depths of about 40 cm. Several trees along Tran Quoc Toan Street also fell.

Similarly, sections of road within the Golf Valley Da Lat planning area, Tran Quoc Toan Street, the roundabout intersecting with Bui Thi Xuan Street, and the area in front of the Da Lat City Flower Garden tourist area were also partially flooded. Several cars in Ward 9 were also swept away or damaged by the water.

The rain also flooded Yersin and Mac Dinh Chi streets, with water overflowing into people's homes and damaging their belongings. "The heavy rain caused flooding so quickly that we couldn't react in time, and all our goods were ruined," said the owner of a grocery store.
The People's Committee of Da Lat City has requested relevant units and specialized forces to handle fallen trees to ensure the safety of pedestrians. Authorities are currently assessing the damage caused by the heavy rain.
