Da Nang: Newly established businesses are cautious when entering the market.

According to the Da Nang Statistics Department, the number of newly established businesses in the area during the first four months of 2024 was equivalent to the same period in 2023, but the registered capital decreased. This reflects the caution of newly established businesses as they begin to enter the market.

According to the socio -economic report of Da Nang City for April and the first four months of 2024 by the Da Nang Statistics Department, from March 16th to April 15th, the city issued new registration certificates to 428 enterprises, branches, and representative offices with a total registered charter capital of VND 1,433.4 billion. The number of newly registered enterprises decreased by 3.5%; the registered capital decreased by 40.0% compared to the same period in 2023.

Da Nang businesses are strengthening supply-demand connections with neighboring localities.

In the first four months of 2024 (up to April 15th), Da Nang City issued new business registration certificates to 1,241 enterprises with a total registered charter capital of VND 4,345.1 billion; the number of newly established enterprises was similar to the same period in 2023, but the registered capital decreased by 22.4%.

"This reflects the cautious approach to investment by newly established businesses when they first enter the market," the Da Nang Statistics Department report noted. According to the same report, a positive sign for the market is the 14.1% increase in the number of businesses resuming operations compared to the same period in 2023 (equivalent to 952 businesses).

However, despite the economic challenges, the number of businesses registering for temporary suspension continued to increase significantly (+14.1%) compared to the same period in 2023 (equivalent to 2,897 businesses). In addition, from the beginning of the year until now, 221 businesses in the city have completed dissolution procedures and withdrawn from the market, an increase of 3.3% compared to the same period in 2023. Furthermore, the city has revoked the registration certificates of 5 businesses, resulting in a capital reduction of over 100 billion VND.
