Provincial People's Council representatives meet with voters in Phan Rang-Thap Cham City.

On November 8th, Comrade Tran Minh Luc, Standing Committee member of the Provincial Party Committee and Vice Chairman of the Provincial People's Council, along with other delegates of the Provincial People's Council (electoral district No. 7), held a meeting with voters in Thanh Son and My Huong wards (Phan Rang - Thap Cham City).

After hearing the report on the results of the 14th session of the Provincial People's Council; the announcement of the expected content and program of the regular session at the end of 2023; and the results of resolving and responding to voters' requests from the previous meeting, voters in Thanh Son ward commented: The encroachment on roads and sidewalks for trading and business purposes, which obstructs pedestrians, disrupts traffic safety and urban aesthetics, needs to be addressed; the construction of the Sustainable Environment Project - Phan Rang - Thap Cham City Sub-project needs to be strictly managed to avoid delays; fire prevention and control in apartment buildings is not yet adequate; restaurants and eateries on Hoang Dieu street are dumping waste into canals, causing environmental pollution and affecting the lives of residents...

Voters in My Huong ward have submitted petitions regarding the following issues: addressing the problem of illegally parked vehicles obstructing traffic in alley 68, Ngo Quyen street; adjusting and extending streetlight lighting hours to suit winter weather; strengthening waste collection and environmental sanitation in food business areas in residential area 2; and paying attention to and promoting anti-corruption efforts.

Speaking at the meeting, the Vice Chairman of the Provincial People's Council acknowledged the heartfelt and responsible opinions of the voters regarding the local development; at the same time, he requested that the local Party committees, authorities, and relevant departments promptly and decisively address these issues and inform the voters of the results.

At the conference, representatives of the Provincial People's Council reported on the results of the 14th session of the 11th Provincial People's Council; announced the expected content and program of the 15th session of the Provincial People's Council; and presented the results of addressing and responding to the opinions and recommendations of voters from previous meetings. Voters in Dong Hai ward raised several issues such as: the environmental sanitation situation at Dong Hai fishing port, the encroachment on cemetery land for housing construction, the need to resolve the issue of people dumping wastewater onto the streets in wards 6, 7, and 8; and the need for regulations and guidelines on assigning house numbers to residents to be issued soon...

Voters in My Dong ward have petitioned for the following: prompt repair of several dilapidated and flood-prone roads; investment in and installation of a public address system to improve public awareness campaigns; prompt resolution of waste disposal issues in the Dong Ba market area; facilitation of land title issuance for households that settled before 1975; intensified dengue fever prevention and control efforts before the rainy season; prompt resolution of flooding in the park area of ​​neighborhood 9; and early stabilization of rice prices...

On behalf of the provincial People's Council delegates, Ms. Chau Thi Thanh Ha highly appreciated the sense of responsibility and contributions of the voters; and also provided further information on the province's socio- economic development in the past period to the voters. She requested that localities should take advantage of resources from the national target program for sustainable poverty reduction, promote effective livelihood models; pay attention to and strengthen propaganda, and tighten control over illegal housing construction and traffic safety in the area. To successfully implement the Resolution for the term, she hoped that the people would continue to cooperate and support the local government in completing socio-economic development tasks and building a more prosperous, beautiful, and civilized locality. Representatives of the provincial and local People's Council delegates answered some of the voters' requests within their authority. Other opinions and requests from voters will be compiled and forwarded to relevant agencies for consideration and resolution, and will be answered to the voters at the next meeting.
