From the beginning of the year, Phan Rang-Thap Cham City has focused on implementing comprehensive solutions to resolutely achieve its 2025 development goals. In the first quarter, the socio-economic situation in the city maintained its growth; production and business in all sectors increased significantly compared to the same period last year. Total retail sales of goods and service revenue reached over 9,045 billion VND, an increase of 14.2%. Industry and construction reached over 1,762 billion VND, an increase of 18.2%. State budget revenue met the set target. Planning management, urban management, and investment in urban infrastructure development received attention; the city's appearance is becoming increasingly modern, bright, green, clean, and beautiful. Land management and compensation for project implementation were prioritized. The socio-cultural sector was proactively implemented. Social security policies were fully and promptly implemented. The teaching and learning plan ensured progress, and quality continued to improve. Propaganda, cultural and artistic activities, and sports events were vibrant. The restructuring of the organizational apparatus, administrative reform, and digital transformation continued effectively. National defense, political security, and social order and safety were maintained.

Speaking at the meeting, the Vice Chairman of the Provincial People's Council highly appreciated the sense of responsibility, determination, and socio-economic achievements of Phan Rang-Thap Cham City in recent times. The total value of production across all economic sectors exceeded 4,144 billion VND, reaching 29.3% of the annual plan and increasing by 14.7% compared to the same period last year. Agriculture developed towards high technology and organic production, with a production value of over 1,016 billion VND, reaching 33.5% of the annual plan and increasing by 7.17%. Industry and construction performed well with a production value of 1,510 billion VND, reaching 23.8% and increasing by 21%. The value of production in the trade and service sector exceeded 1,618 billion VND, reaching 33.8% and increasing by 14.2%. Public investment, budget revenue collection, planning, land management, and environmental sanitation continued to be promoted. National target programs were focused on implementation. Cultural and social fields received due attention and were effectively implemented. The quality of education, medical examinations, and primary healthcare for the people is constantly improving. Social security policies are fully and promptly implemented. Organizational restructuring, administrative discipline, and order are being carried out vigorously and effectively. Concluding the working session, the Vice Chairman of the Provincial People's Council highly appreciated the socio-economic achievements of the locality. He noted that the locality should focus on solutions to boost economic growth; improve agricultural production; address difficulties and promote business development to contribute to growth; and concentrate on revenue collection. In addition, he urged accelerating the disbursement of public investment capital. He also called for a review and inventory of infrastructure and equipment after the reorganization of the administrative apparatus to advise the province on effective use and management. Furthermore, he stressed the importance of accelerating housing construction to eliminate temporary and dilapidated houses for eligible individuals. He also emphasized the need to effectively implement social welfare programs, upgrade schools, improve the lives of the people, prevent drowning and child accidents, and ensure national defense, security, and social order. Regarding the reform and reorganization of the administrative apparatus and units, the decentralization of authority should be carried out in accordance with the Party's guidelines and regulations and the laws of the State.
