Dai Dong reaps the "golden fruit".

In late December, the open spaces along the village roads and alleys in Dai Dong hamlet, Yen Tri commune, burst with the golden color of ripe Dien pomelos. The delicate fragrance and sweet taste of these late-year fruits have become familiar, carrying with them the hope of a bountiful harvest, ushering in a prosperous new spring. Currently, Dai Dong hamlet has over 130 hectares of Dien pomelos, with an estimated yield of over 2,000 tons this year. Of this, 31 hectares managed by the Dai Dong Agricultural Cooperative are cultivated according to VietGAP standards. Notably, this season, Dai Dong Dien pomelos are expected to export over 50 tons to international markets, affirming the quality and value of this local specialty.

The Diễn pomelo orchards are laden with ripe, golden-yellow fruit.

The fragrant, delicious pomelo weighs between 0.7 and 0.9 kg.

In mid-December, orchard owners focus on harvesting fruit to transport to markets for consumption.

Local leaders and representatives from the Dai Dong Agricultural Cooperative visited and inspected the quality of Dien pomelos before export.

According to orchard owners, the quality of the fruit this year is assured and the appearance is attractive.

Dien Dai Dong pomelo is a type of fruit that is bought during Tet (Vietnamese New Year) or given as a gift.

Grapefruit segments are juicy and very sweet; the longer they are stored, the sweeter they become.

Grapefruit trees grown according to VietGAP standards are numbered for easy care and monitoring.

The gardeners are busy harvesting to ensure the planned schedule is met.

After harvesting, the pomelos are gathered in the orchard before being loaded onto trucks and transported to the market.

Dien pomelo – the main crop that has contributed to increasing income and improving the lives of people in Dai Dong hamlet for many years.
