Congress of Delegates of Rach Gia City Farmers' Association for the 2023-2028 term

Rach Gia City leaders congratulate the Executive Committee of Rach Gia City Farmers' Association, Term XII, 2023-2028.

The Congress elected 20 members of the Executive Committee of the Farmers' Association of Rach Gia City XII for the 2023-2028 term. Comrade Nguyen Van Dung was re-elected as Chairman of the Farmers' Association of Rach Gia City for the new term.

Over the past 5 years, the whole city has developed 1,051 new farmer members, reaching 105% of the resolution, bringing the total number of farmer members to 5,605 members.

There are 14,650 households registering to be emulation farmers, good producers and traders at all levels (on average, there are 2,869 households registering each year). As a result, there are 10,126 households achieving emulation farmers, good producers and traders at all levels, reaching 71% of registered households (the resolution reaches 50% of registered households).

The City Farmers' Association coordinated with the Front to build 37 farmer solidarity houses with a total amount of more than 1.1 billion VND (reaching 113% of the resolution), of which the City Farmers' Association directly built 24 houses. Gave nearly 600 gifts and 6 tons of rice worth 72 million VND to poor farmer members. Coordinated to help 55 farmer member households escape poverty.

The two levels of the City Farmers' Association mobilized members and farmers to donate nearly 1,800 square meters of land, repair and rebuild 22 kilometers of rural roads, 3 bridges, and dredge 5 kilometers of intra-field irrigation canals.

Constructing 40 projects named after the association, with a total amount of 6 billion VND, contributing nearly 2,000 working days, thereby contributing to building Phi Thong commune to meet new rural standards and continuing to implement the criteria of advanced new rural communes.

In the 2023-2028 term, the two levels of Rach Gia City Farmers' Association will continue to promote patriotic emulation movements, and at the same time participate in building mechanisms and implementing policies for agricultural , farmer and rural development, paying special attention to the legitimate and legal rights and interests of members and farmers.

Strive to develop 650 new members during the term, reaching 65% of the target, reaching 120% of agricultural households. Every year, 100% of the establishments complete their tasks well. Every year, the registration for the title of good farmer and business at all levels reaches 60% of qualified good farmer and business households, and the consideration reaches 50% of registered households.

Increase the capital source of the City Farmers Support Fund by 10% or more annually, striving to reach 2.6 billion VND by 2028. Mobilize members to participate in voluntary health insurance to reach 95% or more...

The Congress was presented with a banner by the Rach Gia City Party Committee with the content “Solidarity - Innovation - Integration - Development”; the Vietnam Fatherland Front Committee of Rach Gia City presented two “Farmer’s Homes” houses to poor and near-poor households who are farmers’ association members of the city. The Rach Gia City People’s Committee supported the City’s Farmers’ Support Fund with 750 million VND.
