The 6th National Congress of the Vietnam-Japan Cultural Exchange Association
At the Congress, delegates commented that in the past term, despite many difficulties and challenges due to the impact of the Covid-19 pandemic, the Association successfully organized rich and diverse cultural exchange activities between Vietnam and Japan, with the new point being the introduction of both Japanese and Vietnamese culture, not only in Vietnam but also in Japan, the activities were organized entirely on the basis of socialization.
Japanese language teaching at the Nui Truc Center under the Association was maintained during the Covid-19 period and then developed more dynamically, suitable to the new situation. External information work was deployed strongly, creatively, effectively, and had a spreading effect, not only in Vietnam but also in Japan. Relations with Vietnamese - Japanese partners were expanded, practical, increasingly deep and stable. Charity work was always maintained.
Despite great efforts to successfully organize many cultural exchange activities between the two countries, some of the Association's plans to organize Vietnam - Japan cultural exchange events in other provinces and cities outside Hanoi have not been implemented yet, due to objective reasons and financial difficulties.
The Congress discussed and approved the directions and tasks for the 6th term (2024-2029). The Association determined the motto for the next term as: "Proactive, flexible, creative and effective", accordingly, it will promote activities in the following directions:
- Strengthen exchange activities, organize a variety of Vietnamese-Japanese cultural programs, including a number of events aimed at serving young audiences, pupils and students. The Association will coordinate with partners to organize a number of activities to introduce Vietnamese culture in Japan, coordinate with localities to organize a number of Vietnamese-Japanese cultural exchange programs in other provinces and cities outside Hanoi.
Further improve the quality of Japanese teaching and learning at Nui Truc Center, and send teachers of the Center to attend training courses to improve teaching quality in Japan through the Japan International Exchange Fund.
Proactively establish and maintain relationships with Vietnamese and Japanese partners to take advantage of the partners' potential and strengths, thereby coordinating the organization of cultural exchange activities between the two countries on the basis of socialization.
Further strengthen external information work in an effective and increasingly widespread manner. Carry out humanitarian charity work as a social responsibility of the Association.
The Congress elected the Executive Committee of the 6th term of the Vietnam - Japan Cultural Exchange Association consisting of 17 members, the Standing Committee of 5 members, Mr. Le Ngoc Dinh as Chairman, Mr. Tran Nhat Hoang as Vice Chairman and General Secretary./.
