General, Chief of the General Department of Politics of the People's Army Nguyen Trong Nghia

Comrade Nguyen Trong Nghia, Politburo member, Secretary of the Party Central Committee, Head of the Central Propaganda and Education Commission for Mass Mobilization, holds the position of Director of the General Department of Politics of the Vietnam People's Army.

On the morning of November 4th, at the Presidential Palace, President Luong Cuong, Chairman of the National Defense and Security Council and Commander-in-Chief of the Armed Forces, presided over the ceremony to present the Decisions appointing three senior military officers to the position of Head of the General Political Department of the Vietnam People's Army, and promoting them to the ranks of General and Lieutenant General.

At the ceremony, authorized by the President, Comrade Nguyen Hoang Anh, Deputy Head of the Office of the President, announced the President's Decision appointing Comrade Nguyen Trong Nghia, Member of the Political Bureau, Secretary of the Central Committee of the Party, Head of the Central Propaganda and Mass Mobilization Department, to the position of Head of the General Political Department of the Vietnam People's Army, and simultaneously promoting him from Lieutenant General to General.
