During the Hung Kings' Commemoration Day holiday, on the construction site of package 3 (Km101+500 to Km117+593) of the Khanh Hoa - Buon Ma Thuot Expressway project, the sound of machinery still echoed, workers were busy with construction and expressed their excitement as the "shape" of the expressway had basically taken form.
As someone involved in the construction of package 3 since the project's inception, Mr. Bui Van Toan of Trung Nam Construction and Installation Joint Stock Company said: "After many years of working on the project, the main section of the expressway is now basically complete, and I feel very happy to have contributed a small part to this expressway, which is expected to create a breakthrough in development for Dak Lak province and the Central Highlands and South Central regions. Therefore, even during the Hung Kings' Commemoration Day or the upcoming Liberation Day and International Labor Day holidays, the workers will still organize construction teams to complete the remaining items of the package with the determination to complete the project before this year's rainy season."

Mr. Thai Van Phi, Director of the TN E&C Expressway Management Board (Trung Nam Construction and Installation Joint Stock Company), said that the unit's construction package has entered the final stage; the main route is 97% complete, and the branch roads and access roads are 90% complete. Currently, the construction unit is focusing its resources with over 60 pieces of machinery and nearly 100 workers working throughout holidays to accelerate progress and complete all items; striving during holidays to complete the entire asphalt paving layer, basically complete the branch roads, access roads and interchanges, and aiming to put it into operation before June 30, 2026, with the goal of completing the entire route and putting it into operation in 2026. Workers participating in labor on holidays will also receive preferential treatment according to the law and the company's regulations.
Component Project 3 of the Khanh Hoa - Buon Ma Thuot Expressway (over 48 km), managed by the Dak Lak Provincial Investment and Construction Project Management Board for Transportation and Rural Development, has currently reached 95.5% of its contract value. This is not just a transportation project, but a strategic "lifeline" that will shorten travel time and break the isolation between the Central Highlands and the Central Coast; the project is expected to boost trade, logistics, and tourism, contributing to national defense and security, improving living standards, and creating sustainable livelihoods for ethnic minorities in Dak Lak.

Mr. Dang Tho Dan, Director of Component 3 of the Khanh Hoa – Buon Ma Thuot Expressway Project, said that in order to meet the project's progress requirements, the investor has requested contractors to accelerate the construction of the remaining project items. For contractors working during holidays, the investor also organized visits to the construction sites to encourage and motivate workers. At the same time, contractors were instructed to ensure the benefits, benefits, and policies for workers in accordance with the law. Although there are still some obstacles such as incomplete land clearance for access roads, branch roads, and local roads, the investor is coordinating with local authorities and relevant units to focus on resolving land clearance issues to facilitate construction and complete the project as planned.
Component Project 3 of the Khanh Hoa - Buon Ma Thuot Expressway, Phase 1, with a total investment of over 6,165 billion VND, was technically opened to traffic on December 19, 2025. According to the plan, the project will be basically completed along the entire route in 2026 and fully operational in 2027.
