Ensuring workers' right to vote.

Workers in industrial zones and clusters are increasingly interested in their right to vote. Trade unions at all levels in the province have proactively disseminated information and provided guidance to ensure that workers participate fully and in accordance with regulations, guaranteeing their civic rights.

From December 2025, the Standing Committee of the Provincial Labor Union issued a document requesting ward-level, special-zone, and grassroots labor unions to intensify widespread propaganda about the election to union members and workers. This aims to help union members and workers understand the meaning and importance of the election; their rights and responsibilities; and the standards, structure, and number of National Assembly and People's Council representatives at all levels. Simultaneously, they are to proactively disseminate information and counter false, distorted, and subversive views of hostile forces; and prevent the misuse of the election to incite unrest, sow discord, divide national unity, and oppose the Party and the State.

Trade unions at all levels actively disseminated information through various forms: direct communication at grassroots trade union meetings; through portals, websites, and local public address systems; on digital platforms and social media; and visual promotion with banners and slogans welcoming the election… Mr. Do Tran Thinh - Chairman of the Provincial Federation of Labor, said that before and after the Lunar New Year of the Horse in 2026, the unit organized delegations to visit businesses to extend New Year greetings, visit and give gifts to union members and workers; and monitor the situation of workers returning to work after the Tet holiday. The Provincial Federation of Labor proactively reviewed and accurately determined the number of union members and workers eligible to participate in the election, paying particular attention to the group of migrant workers temporarily residing in the province; closely coordinating with businesses to arrange reasonable time, shifts, and schedules, creating the most favorable conditions for union members and workers to participate in voting.

In recent days, the atmosphere of support for the election at the Trade Union of Kien Giang College has been vibrant. Ms. Trinh Thi Bich Thuy, Director of the Joint Training Center and President of the Trade Union of Kien Giang College, said that the Trade Union promptly disseminated information about the election to its members and employees through various forms, from direct to online via email and social media; visual promotion with banners; digital content design; and encouraged members and employees to change their profile pictures and update photo frames with the text "Welcome to the election of National Assembly representatives for the 16th term and People's Council representatives at all levels for the 2026-2031 term" on their personal pages, creating a lively atmosphere leading up to election day. "From now until election day, the Trade Union will continue to promptly update information so that members and employees can fully participate in the election," Ms. Trinh Thi Bich Thuy stated.

Mr. Nguyen Tran Tien Dung, a member of the Trade Union at Kien Giang College, shared: “I regularly follow and update information about the election from the school, the Trade Union, newspapers, radio, and official social media accounts of the province. Election day falls on a Sunday, and my family will go to vote together, fulfilling our duty to the country.”

The Trade Union of CIC Group Joint Stock Company has 7 member trade unions and 2 departmental trade unions. Ms. Nguyen Thi Hong Hanh - Chairperson of the Company's Trade Union - informed that the Trade Union seriously implemented the task of disseminating information about the election to its members and employees. On February 27th, the Company's Trade Union held an expanded executive committee meeting, focusing on disseminating the key contents of the election; directing member trade unions and departmental trade unions to fully and promptly inform their members and employees, ensuring the rights and obligations of employees in the election.

According to Mr. Do Tran Thinh, the Trade Union is an important bridge between voters who are union members and workers and candidates for the National Assembly and People's Councils at all levels. Besides propaganda work, the Trade Union focuses on its role in monitoring, protecting the rights and interests of voters, and promptly reporting any issues related to voting rights, so that election day truly becomes a festival for the entire nation. Through this, outstanding individuals with strong political convictions, sufficient qualifications, capabilities, and conditions are selected to effectively fulfill their duties as National Assembly and People's Council representatives at all levels.
