Petrolimex An Giang officially began selling E10 RON 95-III gasoline simultaneously at 52 of its directly owned gas stations and 42 gas stations belonging to franchised businesses starting from June 1, 2026.

In line with the transition roadmap, Petrolimex An Giang has proactively launched the sale of this product simultaneously at 52 directly owned stores from May 25, 2026, and at 42 franchised stores from June 1, 2026.

Initial reports from distributors in the area, such as Petrolimex, PV Oil, Petro Times, etc., indicate that retail sales of E10 RON 95-III gasoline are basically equivalent to the previous volume of conventional gasoline. Most consumers are confident in choosing it due to its reasonable price, while also showing greater concern for the benefits of reduced emissions and environmental protection, aiming towards the Net Zero target by 2050.

People support and trust the quality of E10 gasoline and feel safe using it.

Mr. Hong Phong, Chairman and Director of Petrolimex An Giang, stated that the company has not received any feedback or complaints from customers regarding product quality. According to confirmation from automotive and motorcycle manufacturing associations and several major brands, such as Honda, Yamaha, Piaggio, and SYM, most vehicles currently in circulation, especially newer models, can use E10 gasoline.

In the early days, a segment of consumers, mainly those with older vehicles using carburetors, were still hesitant to use biofuels. This is a normal reaction when people don't have enough information about the product.

Retail sales of E10 RON 95-III gasoline are equivalent to the previous sales of RON 95-III mineral gasoline.

For scooters and motorcycles using electronic fuel injection (FI), the electronic control unit (ECU) on models from 2011 onwards will automatically adjust the fuel injection amount to suit E10 gasoline. Owners only need to perform regular maintenance and can use additional combustion chamber cleaning additives every 3,000 - 5,000 km.

For older vehicles using carburetors: Ethanol can easily dilute the fuel mixture and may cause the rubber seal in the fuel bowl to swell, jamming the float and leading to excess fuel leakage. Users should take their vehicles to repair shops to adjust the air screw and fuel screw for a richer mixture and replace the rubber seal with an alcohol-resistant material. This nitrile-based rubber seal can swell due to ethanol, jamming the fuel float and causing "excess fuel leakage" into the exhaust pipe.
