Recently, the owner of a Vinfast VF3 made a big splash by spending 500 million VND to completely transform the electric mini-car from the Vietnamese brand. It is known that the owner of this VF3 is also one of the first people in Ho Chi Minh City to own VinFast vehicles, from the Lux A (gasoline model) to the e34, VF8, VF9, and VF7. With the original on-the-road price of the Vinfast VF3 (battery-equipped version) just over 300 million VND, the owner of this car has invested in a series of upgrades and many high-end features, transforming the vehicle into an ideal personalized space. In terms of exterior design, the original VF3 uses drum brakes at the rear, giving the characteristic slightly slippery braking feel of electric vehicles. To ensure safety and enhance its sporty aesthetics, the owner upgraded to a disc brake system for the rear as well. Additionally, the exterior of the car has been upgraded with a strongly personalized, sporty front and rear grille and hood, along with new rims and tires. The original suspension system of the VF3, which was quite bumpy due to the use of a torsion beam, has been completely replaced with new shock absorbers and springs, along with dampers and a stabilizer bar, resulting in a smoother and more stable ride, achieving approximately 60-70% of expectations.
The interior has been completely reupholstered in premium leather, and features include soft-close doors, an electric trunk, and power-adjustable seats. Notably, the rear seats have been redesigned to split into two independent units to optimize cargo space. As a car audio enthusiast since 2005 and a frequent daily commuter by car, the owner of this VF3 invested in a high-end Focal speaker system through Autobis, costing over 100 million VND. He shared that upgrading the car's audio system provides significant daily benefits: "When stuck in traffic in the city, listening to good music helps me feel much more relaxed and comfortable." One of the most annoying aspects of the VF3 when the owner first received it was the noise. He had the entire floor, ceiling, wheel arches soundproofed, added sound-absorbing materials, and even soundproofed the hood. Currently, after VinFast updated the software and combined it with the soundproofing package, engine noise has been reduced by up to 80%. Despite owning several larger cars, since acquiring the VF3, this car enthusiast from Ho Chi Minh City has mostly left his other vehicles gathering dust at home. According to the owner, the VF3's compact design makes maneuvering through narrow alleys and finding parking in Ho Chi Minh City extremely easy and convenient. In terms of driving range, due to the added high-powered sound system and modified wheels and tires, his VF3 consumes more energy than the original car, traveling about 150-180 km on a single full charge (while the unmodified car can travel 200-230 km). The VinFast VF3 was designed to serve urban needs, providing shelter from the sun and rain as an alternative to motorbikes, for transporting children, or going to the market. However, for enthusiasts, this vehicle has a huge advantage: it's easily personalized to each individual's taste.
