In a city renowned for its lavish lifestyle and vibrant parties like Miami (USA), the nightlife options seem endless for the families of the English players as they begin their lives alongside the 2026 World Cup.
However, the all-night parties and extravagant atmosphere seen in Baden-Baden (Germany) in 2006 may not be repeated. This is partly because the current generation of footballers' wives and girlfriends are much more private than the era of Posh Spice, Coleen Rooney, or Cheryl Cole.
No more ostentation or noise.
Considered to be the women who helped define WAGs – wives/girlfriends of footballers – the England national team's support system has been a media focal point during World Cups, sought after just as much as the players themselves, especially during the 2006 World Cup in Germany.
Besides their beautiful and seductive looks, stories of these girls' nights out partying at bars or their extravagant shopping sprees have become legendary, according to The Guardian.

Leading the group at the time were Victoria Beckham and Cheryl Cole, along with Coleen Rooney before she became as famous as she is today. It's reported that Veuve Clicquot champagne was drunk through straws, Victoria Beckham brought up to 60 pairs of sunglasses, and Frank Lampard's ex-girlfriend Elen Rives once got into an argument with German fans after leading a singing and dancing session on a table.
However, the next generation, 20 years later, is completely different.
Harry Kane's wife, Katie Goodland, almost always stays away from the public eye, a trait commonly seen in the partners of many current footballers.

Many of them also have successful careers of their own. Bukayo Saka's girlfriend, Tolami Benson, works in advertising; Eberechi Eze's wife, Naima Corbin, is an intensive care nurse.
Elliot Anderson's girlfriend works as a legal assistant, while Reece James's partner, Mia-Florence McClenaghan, recently completed her law degree at Royal Holloway University in London.
Limit meetings.
This year's World Cup saw Miami chosen as the "unofficial headquarters" for England's families during the tournament, thanks to its many child-friendly locations such as Walt Disney World Resort.
According to The Telegraph , this could also be the World Cup where the families of the England players have to find ways to fill their time the most ever, as they have very few opportunities to meet the players due to the packed schedule.
As England entered the final stages of preparation for their opening match against Croatia on June 18th, only about half of Thomas Tuchel's squad could expect to be reunited with their families in Dallas, as many players' relatives had decided to skip the group stage.
According to sources from the English Football Association, the complicated travel schedule, the extended duration of the tournament, and the cost for some large families are the reasons why the number of family members accompanying the players is significantly lower than during the 2022 World Cup in Qatar. At that time, most players' families moved to Dubai in December or rented rooms on cruise ships anchored near Doha.
Many families are expected to move to the US if England progresses beyond the group stage and further in the tournament, especially those with school-aged children.

Prior to the tournament, the players spent time with their families in West Palm Beach, where the team was based for training. Some of the family members spotted there included Bukayo Saka's fiancée, Jude Bellingham's girlfriend, and striker Ollie Watkins' wife.
Marc Guehi was also seen having coffee with his family, while Dan Burn and Tino Livramento appeared with relatives.
Similar to Gareth Southgate's time managing the national team, coach Thomas Tuchel is expected to allow players to meet their families at the stadium after matches before returning to the training camp at Swope Soccer Village.
However, unlike his predecessor, Tuchel will not allow players to see their families the following day, as was the case at the World Cup in Qatar four years ago.
On June 24th, England will continue their journey in the 2026 World Cup with a match against Ghana. A victory against Ghana would secure Tuchel's team's qualification without needing to worry about the final matchday.
