Building a clean and strong Party and government worthy of the people's trust is identified as a particularly important, ongoing, urgent, and long-term task for the entire Party, people, and army. In line with this spirit, over the past years, the Party Committee of Ward 1, Quang Tri town, has continuously reformed its leadership content, methods, and working style; focusing on implementing solutions to build a clean and strong Party organization, enhancing the leadership capacity and fighting strength of grassroots Party organizations, and creating positive changes in the implementation of the local political tasks.

Recognizing Party building as a key task, the Party Committee of Ward 1 has focused on strengthening Party organizations in terms of ideology and organization, enhancing revolutionary ethics, and creating high unity of will and action throughout the entire political system.

The Party Committee directs the continued effective and high-quality implementation of resolutions, directives, and conclusions of the Central Committee, Provincial Party Committee, and City Party Committee, focusing on Conclusion No. 21-KL/TW, dated October 25, 2021, of the Central Executive Committee on “strengthening the building and rectification of the Party and the political system; resolutely preventing, repelling, and strictly handling cadres and Party members who are ideologically and politically corrupt, morally and lifestyle-wise, and exhibiting “self-evolution” and “self-transformation”; Conclusion No. 01-KL/TW, dated May 18, 2021, of the Politburo on continuing to implement Directive No. 05-CT/TW “on promoting the study and emulation of Ho Chi Minh's thought, morality, and style”; Regulation No. 37-QĐ/TW, dated October 25, 2021, of the Central Executive Committee on things that Party members are not allowed to do; and Regulation No. 69-QĐ/ The Central Committee's Resolution dated July 6, 2022, on disciplinary measures for Party organizations and members who violate regulations, was also concretized through plans and action programs for implementation throughout the entire Party organization.

The work of building a strong Party in terms of organization and personnel has always been emphasized. The resolutions of the Central Committee and the directives of the Central Committee, the province, and the city on personnel work have been thoroughly and effectively implemented; the evaluation, planning, training, and development of personnel have been carried out comprehensively. At the same time, focus has been placed on consolidating and strengthening the organizational structure and personnel within the political system, ensuring both quantity and quality to meet the demands of new tasks.

Furthermore, the Party Committee of Ward 1 has seriously implemented the inspection and supervision program and plan of the Party Committee and the Party Committee's Inspection Committee throughout the term and each year. It has promoted the role of the head of the Party committee in leading and organizing the implementation of inspection, supervision, and disciplinary tasks of the Party. It has promptly resolved complaints and denunciations related to Party members. It has accurately and promptly handled violations by Party members; maintaining Party discipline and contributing to building a clean and strong Party organization.

The leadership methods of Party committees at all levels have undergone many innovations; working styles have changed positively. The Party Committee of Ward 1 has selected key tasks to issue resolutions and direct the development of programs and plans for implementation; at the same time, it has assigned tasks to Standing Committee members to direct, and Party committee members to be in charge of, monitor, supervise, and assist subordinate Party branches; maintaining the system of regular meetings and improving the quality of meetings.

The working regulations of the Party Committee are regularly supplemented, adjusted, and implemented seriously, ensuring comprehensive leadership over the political system and the entire society. The implementation of the collective responsibility commitment of the Ward Party Committee to the Standing Committee of the City Party Committee is decisively directed; thereby enhancing the responsibility of the head and the leadership collective, requiring a change in thinking and methods of direction and management that is more focused, targeted, thorough, decisive, and highly effective.

Typically, in 2024, the Party Committee of Ward 1 registered to implement three commitments with the Standing Committee of the City Party Committee and achieved many positive results. To effectively implement the committed tasks, the Party Committee directed the Fatherland Front Committee and political and social organizations of the ward, and the subordinate Party branches to disseminate and thoroughly understand the commitments; develop plans and assign specific tasks for implementation; and regularly monitor the implementation of the commitments through conferences, expanded meetings of the Party Committee Executive Board, the Party Committee Standing Committee, and Party branch meetings...

Throughout the process of directing the implementation of commitments, the Party Committee maintained a regular system of meetings and reporting; directly inspected, supervised, urged, and reviewed the situation and results of the commitment implementation; and promptly directed the handling and proposed solutions to difficulties and obstacles in order to complete the assigned tasks.

In 2024, Ward 1 was recognized as a civilized urban area. The ward has 4/4 neighborhood cultural centers, all achieving the title of cultural unit or outstanding cultural unit; and 1 outdoor sports center with complete playgrounds, training grounds, and training equipment. Through effective mobilization of resources for urban construction and beautification, 32 projects have been invested in and constructed, contributing to the ward's improved urban landscape, socio-economic development, and enhanced living standards for its people.

Furthermore, the Fatherland Front and mass organizations of Ward 1 have effectively played their role in building and implementing democratic regulations. Annual evaluations and rankings show that the Fatherland Front and mass organizations of Ward 1 have achieved a "good" or higher performance rating, and the Ward 1 Party Committee has also achieved a "good" or higher performance rating. In 2024, Ward 1, Quang Tri town, was awarded the title of "Outstanding Commune/Ward/Town" by the Provincial People's Committee.

Building on the achievements, the Party Committee of Ward 1, Quang Tri town, continues to focus on improving the leadership capacity and fighting strength of grassroots Party organizations, enhancing the quality of operation of the political system at the grassroots level, building a clean and strong Party Committee, leading the government and people in the area to develop socio-economic aspects, ensuring national defense and security, and building Ward 1 into an increasingly prosperous area.
