Identifying Party building as a key task, the Party Committee of Ward 1 has focused on strengthening the building of a strong Party organization in terms of ideology and organization, improving revolutionary ethics, and creating high unity of will and action throughout the entire political system.

The Party Committee directed to continue to effectively and qualitatively implement the resolutions, directives and conclusions of the Central Committee, Provincial Party Committee, and City Party Committee, focusing on Conclusion No. 21-KL/TW, dated October 25, 2021 of the Central Executive Committee (CEC) on "promoting the building and rectification of the Party and the political system; resolutely preventing, repelling and strictly handling cadres and Party members who have degraded political ideology, ethics and lifestyle, and manifested "self-evolution" and "self-transformation"; Conclusion No. 01-KL/TW, dated May 18, 2021 of the Politburo on continuing to implement Directive No. 05-CT/TW "on promoting the study and following of Ho Chi Minh's ideology, ethics and lifestyle"; Regulation No. 37-QD/TW, dated October 25, 2021 of the Party Central Committee on things that Party members are not allowed to do; Regulation No. 69-QD/TW, dated July 6, 2022 of the Central Committee on disciplining party organizations and party members who violate the regulations; at the same time, specifying them in action plans and programs to organize implementation throughout the Party.

The work of taking care of building a strong Party in terms of organization and cadres has always been focused on. Central resolutions and directives of the central government, the province and the town on cadre work have been thoroughly and effectively implemented; the stages of assessment, planning, training, fostering and proposing the use of cadres have been synchronously deployed. At the same time, we have focused on consolidating and perfecting the organization and apparatus of cadres in the political system to ensure quantity and quality to meet the requirements of new tasks.

In addition, the Party Committee of Ward 1 has seriously implemented the inspection and supervision program and plan of the Party Committee and the Party Committee's Inspection Committee throughout the term and each year. Promote the role of the head of the Party Committee in leading and organizing the implementation of the Party's inspection, supervision and discipline tasks. Timely resolve complaints and denunciations related to Party members. Accurately and promptly handle Party members who violate the law; maintain Party discipline, contributing to building a clean and strong Party organization.

The leadership methods of Party committees at all levels have many innovations; working methods have changed positively. The Party Committee of Ward 1 has selected key and central tasks to issue resolutions, direct the development of programs and plans for implementation; at the same time, assign tasks to members of the Standing Committee to direct, Party committee members to be in charge of, monitor, supervise, and assist subordinate Party cells; maintain the meeting regime, improve and enhance the quality of meetings.

The working regulations of the Party Committee are regularly supplemented, adjusted, and seriously implemented, ensuring comprehensive leadership over the political system and the whole society. The implementation of the collective responsibility commitment of the Party Committee of the ward with the Standing Committee of the City Party Committee is focused and directed strongly; thereby enhancing the responsibility of the head and the collective leadership with the requirement of changing the thinking, direction and management methods with focus, key points, closeness, determination and higher efficiency.

Typically, in 2024, the Party Committee of Ward 1 registered to implement 3 commitments with the Standing Committee of the City Party Committee and achieved many positive results. In order to effectively implement the committed tasks, the Party Committee directed the Vietnam Fatherland Front Committee and socio-political organizations of the ward, and affiliated Party cells to disseminate and thoroughly understand the commitment contents; develop plans and assign specific tasks for implementation; regularly urge the implementation of the commitment contents through conferences, meetings of the expanded Party Committee, the Standing Committee of the Party Committee, Party cell activities, etc.

In the process of directing the implementation of the commitment, the Party Committee has maintained the regular consultation and reporting regime; directly inspected, supervised, urged, and reviewed the situation and results of the implementation of the commitment; promptly directed the handling and proposed solutions to difficulties and problems to complete the assigned tasks.

In 2024, Ward 1 was recognized as meeting civilized urban standards. The entire ward has 4/4 neighborhood cultural houses and achieved the title of excellent cultural unit; 1 outdoor sports center with full playgrounds, training grounds and training equipment. By effectively mobilizing resources to invest in urban construction and beautification, 32 construction items have been invested in, contributing to the urban appearance of the ward, socio-economic development, and improving people's lives.

Along with that, the Front and the ward's unions have promoted their role well in building and implementing democratic regulations. According to the annual assessment and classification results, the Front and the unions of Ward 1 have achieved good performance or better, and the Party Committee of Ward 1 has achieved good performance or better. In 2024, Ward 1, Quang Tri town was awarded the title of "Outstanding commune, ward, and town" by the Provincial People's Committee.

Promoting the achieved results, the Party Committee of Ward 1, Quang Tri town continues to focus on improving the leadership capacity and fighting strength of grassroots party organizations, improving the quality of activities of the political system at the grassroots level, building a clean and strong Party Committee, leading the local government and people to develop socio-economy, ensuring national defense and security, and building Ward 1 to develop more and more.
