Young people are pioneers in digital transformation.
Digital transformation is creating profound changes in social life. Along with this process, the role of young people is also undergoing significant changes. While previously young people were quick to adopt technology, they are now becoming the direct force bringing technology closer to the community.
In the first six months of 2026, the youth of Lam Dong province implemented numerous activities to enhance digital literacy for union members, young people, and citizens. In particular, the "Digital Literacy for the People" model was implemented synchronously with 134 teams in all communes, wards, and special zones throughout the province. Following the motto "going to every alley, knocking on every door, guiding every person," youth union members directly assisted people in accessing digital platforms, online public services, and the VNeID application.
In Da Teh commune, the early days of operating the two-tiered local government model also saw the frequent presence of young people in their green uniforms at the commune's public administrative service center. A team of 20 young volunteers was established to support online public services, working alongside professional staff to guide people in filling out forms, activating electronic identification, and carrying out administrative procedures in the digital environment.
Many elderly people, when accessing online public services for the first time, are still quite unfamiliar with the process. With patience and responsibility, the Youth Union members have accompanied them step by step, helping them become familiar with technology. Le Tuan Anh, Secretary of the Youth Union of Da Teh commune, believes that young people should not only be quick to adopt technology but also need to become a bridge connecting technology to daily life. From the one-stop service center to residential areas, each Youth Union member can contribute to helping people become familiar with digital services, building confidence when carrying out procedures electronically.
Along with digital transformation, the spirit of innovation is increasingly spreading among the youth of Lam Dong. Youth Union branches at all levels have organized numerous competitions, forums, and creative playgrounds, attracting hundreds of participating ideas. Many new models, such as the application of virtual assistants in Youth Union work, digital platforms for managing members, and online communication, are gradually being implemented.

That is also why many Youth Union officials expect the 13th National Congress to continue to create strong momentum for the digital transformation process in Youth Union work, while expanding opportunities for young people to participate more deeply in innovation and digital economic development.
Supporting youth development
Besides the digital environment, today's youth also face many new opportunities in education, employment, and entrepreneurship. Over the past period, the Youth Union at all levels in the province has implemented 33 activities to support young people in accessing preferential capital, helping 220 young people borrow over 9.5 billion VND to develop production and business. Dozens of activities providing legal advice, career guidance, and creative entrepreneurship have been organized, contributing to equipping young people with knowledge and skills on their journey to establishing themselves and their careers.
Programs supporting young people in their studies have also been effectively maintained. More than 4,173 scholarships have been awarded to students from disadvantaged backgrounds; many exemplary students have been recognized for their achievements in "three good" subjects, "three-disciplined" training, and "five good" university studies. These figures demonstrate the Youth Union's commitment to creating conditions for the holistic development of young people.
Based on practical experience from grassroots movements, many youth union members hope that the 13th National Congress will continue to focus on policies supporting youth entrepreneurship, digital transformation, education, and enhancing competitiveness in the new era. Because, in addition to their enthusiasm for contributing, young people also need favorable conditions to develop themselves and contribute more to society.
According to Tran Diep My Dung, Permanent Deputy Secretary of the Provincial Youth Union and Head of the Youth Union and Youth Affairs Committee under the Vietnam Fatherland Front Committee of Lam Dong province, the 13th National Congress of the Ho Chi Minh Communist Youth Union, for the term 2026-2031, is expected to continue to ignite the aspirations for advancement, the spirit of dedication, and the pioneering will of young people in the new era.

“Young people must be the leading force in digital transformation, innovation, building the homeland, and protecting the nation. I believe that with their courage, intelligence, and enthusiasm, Vietnamese youth will turn great aspirations into concrete actions, contributing to the country's rapid, sustainable development and firmly entering the era of national progress,” Ms. Dung emphasized.
Based on the practical experience of the youth movement in Lam Dong, many Youth Union officials and members hope that the congress will open up more space for young people to develop their intellect, courage, and aspirations to contribute.
