Green Summer Campaign Imprints

University of Technology students — Students of Quang Ninh University of Industry support people in performing administrative procedures at Quang Tan Commune Public Administration Service Center.

At the Quang Tan Commune Public Administration Service Center, on average, nearly 100 citizens come to perform administrative procedures every day. The volunteer student team of Quang Ninh University of Industry actively cooperates with the commune government to support people in accessing and effectively using online public services. Together with the Commune Youth Union, the students guide people in using public services directly and online, support filling out documents and forms, classify people into service groups, and ensure order in the area where administrative procedures are received and handled. According to Mr. Tran Hoai Nam, Secretary of the Youth Union of Quang Ninh University of Industry, students have been trained in public administration procedures, IT skills and basic consulting skills, in order to support people in performing administrative procedures quickly and effectively.

This summer, 9 SVTN teams with nearly 200 students from 6 colleges and universities have deployed the Green Summer Campaign in all localities in the province. Not stopping at familiar tasks such as urban landscape beautification, new rural construction, and summer activities; this year, students and SVTN have also become companions, not only supporting the government in the initial period of operation, but also acting as a bridge between the government and the people, spreading digital transformation, and improving the quality of public administrative services.

In remote communes, the SVTN team has transformed into digital teachers, patiently "holding hands and showing" children, the elderly, and ethnic minorities how to use electronic devices, use Zalo for video calls, look up study information, and instruct them on how to use VNeID, make cashless payments, and avoid online scams... Not only contributing to reducing the workload for grassroots officials, these activities also help students improve their understanding of state management activities; develop practical skills and spread a sense of responsibility to the community.

Medical College Students — The SVTN team of Quang Ninh Medical College visited and gave gifts to policy families in Quang La commune, July 2025.

Not only focusing on government support activities, the Green Summer Campaign's activities span all areas of life, creating an environment for students to be challenged, experienced, and mature. Although the luggage is simple, the tasks are simple, such as: Cleaning and repairing houses for families of martyrs, organizing summer classes for children, painting school grounds, cultural houses, etc., are ways for students to contribute to creating positive changes in the community. According to Mr. Le Hoang Long, Secretary of the Uong Bi Ward Youth Union, this year's summer activities in the ward have many innovations thanks to the contribution of the students of Ha Long University. Not only dry theory, each summer activity has become a bustling English playground, students have both practiced their language skills and participated in games, solved puzzles and were excited to receive encouraging gifts.

Summer Activities in English — Uong Bi Ward Youth Union coordinated with the 5 Good Student Club of Ha Long University to organize an English summer program for the community.

Taking place in a new context, the 2025 Green Summer Campaign not only promotes the spirit of volunteering for the community, but is also an opportunity for students to practice their bravery, social skills and sense of responsibility in the cause of building the country. There have been more smiles from the heart, grateful eyes from the community; above all, there has been a real change in awareness, responsibility, creativity, dedication and commitment to the homeland and country of the youth in the province.
