Leaders of departments and branches proposed plans to clear land for key projects in Phong Dien.

Currently, in Phong Dien Town, key works and projects are being implemented, such as: Repairing Provincial Road 11B (from the road to Thanh Tan hot spring area to Km 16+950 of TL9) through Phong Son and Phong Xuan communes; expanding National Highway 49B through Phong Hoa ward and Phong Binh commune; renovating the central area of ​​Phong Thu ward (from Chu Cam Phong street to Hoa My intersection); investing in Tran Quoc Toan Primary School (facility 2 - phase 2); renovating the residential area at An Lo intersection, Phong An ward; investing in infrastructure to develop land fund of Con Khoai residential area, phase 2 (Phong Hien); project to expand Hue Central Hospital, facility 2...

In addition, non-state budget projects are being implemented in Phong Dien town such as: White sand mining in Phong Hien commune (sand mine of HPS Silica Viet Phuong Company); Dong Lam cement limestone mine project (phase 2); Investment project on construction and exploitation of Laterite iron ore mine as cement additives and the road to the mine in Phong My commune; Dien Loc 2 industrial cluster; White sand mining project in Phong Hoa ward belonging to Frit Hue Joint Stock Company; White sand mining in Phong Chuong commune belonging to Prime Thien Phuc Company); Intensive shrimp farming area applying high technology in Phong Thanh commune.

Up to this point, the site clearance work of most of the above projects has basically ensured progress. However, there are still some projects that have not been cleared because many households have not agreed to receive compensation, leading to the projects and projects not being implemented according to plan. For example, the project to repair TL11B (from the road to Thanh Tan hot spring area to Km 16+950 of TL9) through Phong Son and Phong Xuan communes; the project to invest in Tran Quoc Toan Primary School (facility 2 - phase 2); the project to renovate the central area of ​​Phong Thu ward (section from Chu Cam Phong street to Hoa My intersection); the project to build Dong Lam limestone and cement mine (phase 2).

After listening to the opinions of sectors and localities on the difficulties and obstacles in the construction and implementation of the project, Chairman of Phong Dien Town People's Committee Hoang Viet Cuong suggested that sectors and localities need to focus on directing drastically and thoroughly resolving existing problems, especially the site clearance work. For slow site clearance projects, it is suggested that sectors and localities have a method of approaching and exchanging with people to speed up the site clearance work.

The Chairman of Phong Dien Town People's Committee also assigned specific responsibilities to departments, branches and localities to continue to mobilize and meet with households to resolve difficulties and obstacles, ensuring proper implementation of policies and regimes for people when relocating and clearing to complete the site clearance work and hand over to construction units as soon as possible.
