Gia Lai : Teaching Bahnar and Jrai languages at all three levels of general education.
The People's Committee of Gia Lai province has issued a plan to implement the program "Improving the quality of teaching ethnic minority languages in the general education curriculum for the period 2023-2030".
Accordingly, the goal by 2025 is for Gia Lai to effectively implement the teaching of Bahnar and Jrai languages in primary schools in areas with a large number of ethnic minority students, in accordance with the 2018 General Education Program.
Gia Lai province also strives to ensure that by 2025, 80% of education management officials involved in teaching Jrai and Bahnar languages will receive training to enhance their knowledge of ethnic groups and management skills in teaching Jrai and Bahnar. The province will ensure 100% availability of textbooks and teaching guides for grades 1 to 5 for Bahnar and Jrai languages as stipulated in the curriculum; adequate teaching equipment and facilities to support teaching; and increased application of information technology in teaching Bahnar and Jrai languages at the primary school level.

By 2030, Gia Lai province will expand the teaching of Bahnar and Jrai languages in primary, lower secondary, and upper secondary schools, as well as in ethnic minority boarding and semi-boarding schools. The province will strive to ensure a sufficient number of teachers to teach Bahnar and Jrai languages to meet the needs of students enrolling in elective courses in ethnic minority languages. Of these, 35% (currently 25%) of ethnic minority language teachers will receive training and professional development to meet the required standards. 100% of relevant education management staff involved in teaching Jrai and Bahnar will receive training to enhance their knowledge of ethnic groups and management skills in teaching Jrai and Bahnar. The province will also ensure 100% availability of textbooks and teaching materials for Jrai and Bahnar languages at the secondary level.
Son La : In 2023, 10% of students will be taught Thai.
To implement the program "Improving the quality of teaching ethnic minority languages in the general education curriculum (GDPT) giai đoạn 2023-2030", Son La province has also set out a plan with a specific roadmap.
Accordingly, by 2025, Son La province will ensure a sufficient number of teachers to teach Thai and Hmong languages at the primary school level (according to the needs of students, localities, and schools for elective subjects in ethnic minority languages); 100% of teachers teaching ethnic minority languages will receive professional training and development in teaching Thai and Hmong; and prepare teachers to teach ethnic minority languages at the secondary school level and other levels for the next phase up to 2030.
Education administrators involved in teaching ethnic minority languages receive training to enhance their knowledge and management skills in teaching these languages. Son La province organizes Thai language classes for 4% of its students and Hmong language classes for 1.2% of its students. The province also ensures sufficient textbooks and teaching materials for ethnic minority languages at the primary school level.
By 2030, Son La aims to ensure a sufficient number of teachers to teach Thai and Hmong languages at all educational levels (according to the needs of students for elective subjects in ethnic minority languages); 100% of teachers teaching ethnic minority languages will be trained to meet the prescribed standards; and 100% of teachers teaching ethnic minority languages will receive professional development training in teaching Thai and Hmong languages.
100% of relevant education management staff involved in teaching Thai and Hmong languages have received training to enhance their professional capacity and skills. The province has set a target of teaching Thai to 10% of students and Hmong to 5% of students. Simultaneously, it ensures sufficient textbooks and teaching materials for Thai and Hmong languages at all levels to meet the needs and aspirations of students.

Dak Nong: Teaching the M'Nong and Ede languages.
Dak Nong province is teaching two ethnic minority languages, Ede and M'Nong, in schools to preserve the culture, script, and writing systems of these two ethnic groups, which make up the majority of the province.
Specifically, Dak Nong province will continue to maintain the teaching and learning of the Ede language for students at two primary schools in Cu Jut district. The goal for 2025 is to ensure 100% availability of textbooks and teaching materials for the two ethnic minority languages, Ede and M'Nong, at the primary school level, after they are approved and issued by the Ministry of Education and Training. The province will also ensure that all conditions regarding facilities and equipment for teaching ethnic minority languages are met according to regulations. The province strives to have enough teachers for the Ede and M'Nong ethnic minority languages, with 45% of teachers meeting the required training standards; and 100% of relevant education management staff involved in teaching ethnic minority languages will receive training to improve their capacity.
By 2023, the province will implement the teaching of M'Nong and Ede languages in general education institutions to meet the learning needs of students and suit local realities. The province will ensure the necessary infrastructure; 100% of textbooks and instructional materials will be provided.
The province strives to achieve 100% of teachers teaching the Ede and M'Nong ethnic minority languages having the required training standards; and 100% of relevant education management officials involved in teaching ethnic minority languages receiving training and capacity building.
