Over the past time , tax policies and guidelines have been regularly supplemented and updated to suit the socio - economic development situation of the country .In order to promptly bring tax policies to people and businesses in the province , helping taxpayers understand correctly , pay fully and benefit from tax incentives of the State , Phu Yen Tax Department has strengthened propaganda work from the province to the grassroots .
Timely communication and support
Binh Minh Phu Yen Garment Company Limited (Hoa Tri Commune, Phu Hoa District) was established and put into operation in 2017. Since then, thanks to timely support and guidance from tax officials on tax declaration and payment procedures, and dissemination of new policies on tax exemption and extension, the company has overcome initial difficulties, gradually stabilizing operations and developing.
In 2021, this enterprise paid 836 million VND in taxes; in 2022, it paid more than 1.22 billion VND; in the first 10 months of 2023, despite facing many difficulties due to a decline in export orders, the company still contributed more than 700 million VND to the state budget.
Mr. Tran Quoc Dung, Director of Binh Minh Phu Yen Garment Company Limited, said: In recent years, the State has had many policies to exempt, reduce, and extend the deadline for paying taxes, land rents, etc. to help people and businesses overcome difficulties and soon recover production and business after the COVID-19 pandemic.
These support policies are promptly disseminated and publicized by the Tay Hoa - Phu Hoa Regional Tax Department, helping businesses quickly grasp and benefit from them.
The common forms of propaganda applied by tax authorities are through training conferences, business dialogues; propaganda on district and commune radio stations; guidance via phone, zalo; sending notices via business email addresses; direct guidance at tax authority headquarters...
According to many business owners and enterprises, it is very difficult for taxpayers to worry about production and business, market search, and tax policy at the same time.
Because tax policies are constantly changed, supplemented, and updated to suit the socio -economic development situation, taxpayers cannot fully grasp them. Therefore, to facilitate taxpayers, tax policies must be transparent, specific, clear, and easy to understand.
Mr. Le Ngoc Phuong, owner of Phuong Dung motorbike business (Phu Thu town, Tay Hoa district) said: Currently, tax declaration and payment are carried out according to the principle of self-doing and self-responsibility. While there are many new tax policies, business households have not updated and do not fully understand, so when encountering any problems, we always ask the tax authorities for support and solutions.
Business households and tax teams are like lips and teeth. To avoid "lips and teeth are cold", both sides must coordinate smoothly. If business households do not know, they can ask and tax officers are also willing to help businesses comply with regulations.
Raising taxpayer awareness
In recent years, along with the Tax sector nationwide, Phu Yen Tax sector has promoted administrative procedure reform, applied information technology in tax management to create the most favorable conditions for taxpayers in implementing tax policies and laws.
In particular, from 2021 to present, when the State issued many fiscal and monetary policies to support socio-economic recovery and development, Phu Yen Tax Department has directed relevant units to promptly and fully propagate and disseminate these policies so that taxpayers know and implement them.
Regarding this issue, Mr. Nguyen Van Hien, Head of the Tax Management Team, Tay Hoa - Phu Hoa Regional Tax Department, said: Taxpayers include many components, producing and doing business in many different industries and fields, and their level of understanding of tax policies is also different. Therefore, the tax authority also has many forms of propaganda for taxpayers to have access to.
One of the most effective ways today is to classify taxpayers into groups to have appropriate ways to propagate and disseminate tax policies. Propagating tax policies must be concise, easy to understand, easy to remember and easy to implement...
According to Mr. Hien, those who do propaganda work must first understand tax policies and laws in order to explain them to people in a specific and timely manner. When taxpayers understand, they will voluntarily raise their awareness and responsibility in fulfilling their tax obligations; self-declaration and self-payment of taxes will also be performed better.
“In the coming time, tax authorities at all levels in the province will continue to promote the application of information technology in propaganda work, supporting taxpayers, ensuring that people and businesses promptly grasp new contents of tax policies to implement correctly, fully, quickly and conveniently,” said Mr. Cong Van Lanh, Deputy Director of Phu Yen Tax Department.
