Da Nang has enormous potential for industrial development in the southern region, but two factors need to be considered: to compete with neighboring provinces and cities that already have fully developed expressways, land lease prices in new industrial zones need to be kept at a sufficiently attractive level; and the city needs to attract "big players"—professional infrastructure investors—to draw global supply chains such as aviation and semiconductors.
The city is considering building integrated industrial clusters and chains specifically for the modern building materials industry to meet the current high demand.

Unlocking resources for businesses
To ensure the government and businesses develop in parallel, businesses hope the city will soon review and remove obstacles from outdated and inappropriate regulations, while simultaneously issuing a synchronized system of legal documents. Currently, the city has an Investment Promotion Support Center, but to thoroughly and quickly address specialized issues, Da Nang needs to establish dedicated business support departments within various agencies and localities regarding investment, construction, taxation, land, environment, etc. These departments would act as an "extended arm" to receive information directly from business associations and representative organizations, helping to shorten administrative processing times and increase the effectiveness of policy implementation.

Transform Da Nang into a strategic hub for semiconductors and AI.
In Da Nang's overall development, FPT has always stood alongside the city, as evidenced by projects scheduled to commence in 2025: FPT Polytechnic College, the new FPT School campus, the opening of Hope School, and the inauguration of the semiconductor chip R&D center at Da Nang Software Park No. 2… This is a strategic step to realize the ambition of building a microchip industry in Da Nang. To make Da Nang a regional technology hub, FPT expects the city to continue supporting the roadmap for building a semiconductor factory. In the initial phase, the project will focus on testing, then move on to the packaging phase.
In early 2026, FPT will begin construction of the FPT Innovation Center in the FPT Complex, a concentrated information technology zone. The company hopes the city will support the procedures to expand its scale, creating a true "digital park" and providing an internationally standardized working environment for tens of thousands of engineers. Regarding human resource training, the city needs a breakthrough investment in AI education, from computing infrastructure to training programs. This will quickly transform the existing engineering workforce and recent graduates into masters of AI technology, turning AI and semiconductor chips into powerful drivers of Da Nang's digital economy.
