The Training and Mobile Battalion of the Gia Lai Provincial Border Guard has adopted appropriate and practical methods to effectively utilize the Ho Chi Minh Defense system.

It has become a routine: every late afternoon and on holidays, Senior Lieutenant Phan Duc Binh, Political Officer of the Training Company, Training and Mobile Battalion, and his soldiers go to the battalion's Ho Chi Minh Room to read books and newspapers, learn useful information, and watch traditional films. After watching the documentary "Stories about the unit's establishment on April 19th," Private Hoang Viet Hoang (Squad 5, Platoon 2) shared: "Since enlisting in the unit, thanks to the introductions and education from commanders at all levels and access to the vivid materials in the Ho Chi Minh Room, I have gained a better understanding of the glorious history and traditions of the army, the Border Guard, and the unit. From this, I feel honored and proud to be working at the Training and Mobile Battalion."

Private First Class Mai Hoang Xuan Hung (Squad 1, Platoon 1) said: "After a hard day of training, my comrades and I often go to the Ho Chi Minh Room to read books and newspapers, watch movies... Thanks to that, I've learned a lot of useful knowledge in life."

Major Huynh Ngoc Phu, Deputy Political Officer of the Training and Mobile Battalion, and his soldiers searched for information in books and newspapers.

As a fully-staffed Training and Mobile Battalion, which annually trains and manages a wide range of soldiers, the Party Committee and command of the Training and Mobile Battalion not only ensure a good material life but also pay close attention to the cultural and spiritual well-being of the troops, fostering enthusiasm, affection for the unit, and peace of mind in their work. Among the cultural facilities at the unit level, the battalion places particular emphasis on promoting the role and effectiveness of the Ho Chi Minh Room.

Major Le Van Hai, Political Officer of the Mobile Company, shared: “The unit's Ho Chi Minh Room activities are always maintained in an orderly manner. Commanders at all levels have thoroughly instructed and educated officers and soldiers to correctly understand the position, function, and tasks of the Ho Chi Minh Room. To ensure the Ho Chi Minh Room is truly effective, in addition to ensuring a full supply of cultural materials and publications as provided according to Circular No. 104 (now Circular No. 138) of the Ministry of National Defense, the battalion also invests in purchasing new materials and supplementing them annually to enrich the resources for officers and soldiers to study and research. The Party Committee and the battalion's command regularly pay attention to directing, inspecting, and evaluating the results, and promptly drawing lessons to ensure the Ho Chi Minh Room's activities are orderly and of high quality.”

In addition to the supplies provided by higher authorities to support the cultural and spiritual life of officers and soldiers, the Training and Mobile Battalion also aims to create rich and vibrant content by mobilizing all resources and actively purchasing additional supplies and equipment such as amplifiers, speakers, televisions, karaoke players, and cultural publications; and by soliciting donations from affiliated units of books, magazines, and CDs on history, scientific knowledge, culture, arts, and law, all suitable for young people. The Ho Chi Minh Room is arranged and decorated scientifically and vividly to serve not only as a place for reading books and newspapers, researching documents, and watching films, but also as a venue for organizing cultural and artistic activities, affiliated exchanges, comrade birthday celebrations, and commemorative photo sessions, attracting a large number of officers and soldiers to participate.

First Lieutenant Phan Duc Binh, Political Officer of the Training Company, introduces the soldiers to the historical traditions.

The Ho Chi Minh Room is a vibrant and prominent display of heroic images of our Army and the unit's traditions, enhancing visual education to help soldiers easily understand and remember. The battalion directs the companies to develop monthly and weekly plans and schedules for the Ho Chi Minh Room's activities, ensuring lively, specific content that is appropriate to the mission and assigns responsible officers. The officers and soldiers in charge of the Ho Chi Minh Room's activities receive training and professional development to effectively organize and maintain them. The evaluation of the Ho Chi Minh Room's activities is included in the companies' emulation results. Therefore, the Ho Chi Minh Room is increasingly effective, contributing to improving the quality of traditional education and enriching the cultural and spiritual life of the soldiers. Through this, the awareness and responsibility of officers and soldiers in performing their duties and adhering to discipline are also enhanced.
