According to the report presented at the meeting, the military and national defense tasks for 2025 have been implemented comprehensively and systematically by the Gia Lai Provincial Border Guard Command, focusing on key areas and successfully completing the planned programs and objectives.

Accordingly, territorial sovereignty and border security are maintained and strengthened; local political organizations operate effectively and efficiently; and the people have confidence in the leadership of the Party and the Army.
The provincial Border Guard force strictly maintains a state of combat readiness; proactively reviews and refines the system of documents and operational plans; organizes training and exercises on disaster prevention and control, search and rescue plans, ensuring timely handling of situations.
The unit deployed more than 1,000 officers and soldiers to assist people in responding to storms and floods, conducting search and rescue operations, and mitigating the consequences of natural disasters.
In addition, emphasis has been placed on political and ideological education and Party building, contributing to raising the sense of responsibility among officers and soldiers.
Concluding the meeting, Major General Hua Van Tuong, Deputy Commander of Military Region 5, commended the achievements of the Provincial Border Guard Command in carrying out military and national defense tasks in the past period. Immediately after the merger, the Provincial Border Guard Command promptly reviewed and completed the system of documents, ensuring compliance with the guidelines and regulations of the higher authorities.
Major General Hua Van Tuong requested the Provincial Border Guard Command to regularly coordinate closely with relevant forces to maintain political security and social order in the border area; effectively and promptly handle incidents, avoiding passivity and surprises; and intensify propaganda work and decisively implement tasks and solutions to combat IUU fishing.
At the same time, focus on innovating and improving the quality of training and exercises; strengthening the organizational and command capabilities, operational planning, and combat readiness of the troops to meet the requirements of the mission in the new situation.
