The People's Committee of Lam Dong province announced that the locality will hold simultaneous groundbreaking and inauguration ceremonies for four projects on December 19th, to celebrate the 14th National Congress of the Communist Party of Vietnam.

Accordingly, the Provincial People's Committee has instructed relevant departments, agencies, and localities to urgently implement tasks to organize the groundbreaking and inauguration ceremonies for large-scale projects, including: the groundbreaking ceremony for the Tan Phu-Bao Loc expressway project, the HLI-Nam Ha 2 ready-built warehouse and factory project for lease; the inauguration ceremony for the upgrading project of Dak Nong General Hospital, and the construction and operation of infrastructure in Tan Duc Industrial Park.

Over 10,300 health insurance cards were donated to disadvantaged people in Dak Lak province.

The Vietnam Social Security (VSS) recently organized a program to donate health insurance cards to disadvantaged people in Dak Lak province. At the program, Deputy Director of VSS Tran Dinh Lieu presented a symbolic gift of 10,337 health insurance cards to representatives of the Party Committee and government of Dak Lak province, totaling nearly 2 billion VND. The entire cost of purchasing the insurance cards was supported by Vietcombank, Agribank, Vietinbank, and BIDV. In addition, VSS also presented a symbolic gift of 100 health insurance cards to representatives of the Party Committee and government of Phu Hoa 2 commune and donated 50 million VND to the Vietnam Fatherland Front Committee of Phu Hoa 2 commune to help the locality partially recover from the damage caused by the recent historic floods. The program of donating health insurance cards to people in difficult circumstances is an annual activity of the Vietnam Social Security aimed at mobilizing the joint efforts of officials and employees throughout the Vietnam Social Security system and the community in the charitable work of donating social insurance books and health insurance cards to people in difficult circumstances.

Improving the effectiveness of mediation at the grassroots level.

Lam Dong province currently has 1,906 mediation teams with 11,411 mediators. These teams are fully structured, including Party branch secretaries, village heads, Fatherland Front committees, mass organizations, and influential community leaders. This core force is familiar with the local area, understands the culture, lifestyle, and regional characteristics of the people in each village, hamlet, and residential area, and thus selects appropriate, people-friendly, and persuasive solutions. In 2025, the mediation teams handled 1,464 cases; of which, 1,259 were successfully mediated, achieving a success rate of 80.5%. Although the results are relatively good, in reality, many communes and wards currently face increasing pressure on mediation work due to their large geographical areas, dense populations, and the growing demand for access to legal services and dispute resolution. Therefore, improving the capacity of mediators and strengthening approaches tailored to each community becomes a key factor in ensuring more effective mediation.

Guidelines on crop varieties and planting seasons for the 2025-2026 Winter-Spring crop.

To proactively manage agricultural production and minimize losses due to adverse weather conditions, the People's Committee of Dak Mar commune, Quang Ngai province, has issued guidelines on crop varieties and planting seasons for the 2025-2026 Winter-Spring crop. According to the guidelines, the commune recommends that farmers prioritize certified rice varieties with good resistance and suitability to the ecological conditions of each region. The main varieties proposed include Dai Thom 8, HT1, RVT, ST24, ST25, etc. The recommended planting season is from December 20, 2025 to January 10, 2026. Villages and production groups are requested to use a standardized seed framework, limiting the planting of too many varieties to facilitate care and pest management. For high-lying fields lacking water, farmers should sow early or switch to short-day varieties such as VND 95-20, IR64 to avoid drought. If water supply is not guaranteed, other, more suitable crops can be grown.

Import and export turnover through Le Thanh International Border Gate reached 195 million USD.

According to the report, in 2025, the security situation along the border between Gia Lai province (Vietnam) and Ratanakiri province (Cambodia) was basically stable, customs clearance was smooth, and there were no traffic jams. Border gate management was implemented synchronously, maintaining 24/7 customs clearance, reforming administrative procedures, and applying information technology. Notably, the automated control gate system has shortened the time for immigration procedures to about 30 seconds. As of November 30th, the total import and export turnover through Le Thanh International Border Gate reached 195 million USD, a decrease of 2.5% compared to 2024, of which imports reached 105 million USD (a decrease of 19.8%) and exports reached 90 million USD (an increase of 30%). The total number of vehicles entering and exiting reached 23,052, and the number of passengers entering and exiting reached 133,089. State budget revenue reached VND 15.15 billion, a decrease of 2.7% compared to the same period in 2024.
