At the recent provincial-level gifted student selection exam, Le Hong Phong Secondary School (Luc Yen commune) made a strong impression with all 8 participating students winning awards. Beyond innovative tools, the dedication of teachers is also a crucial factor in making grammar and sentence structure, which are often considered dry subjects, more accessible and motivating students to learn actively.

As one of the outstanding students of Le Hong Phong Secondary School in the 2026 provincial-level excellent student selection exam, Hua Ngoc Nhan, class 9A1, excellently won third prize and many other high prizes in online English competitions.

"The teachers who coached the team were very dedicated, always concerned about whether we truly understood the lessons. The lectures in class were easy to understand, helping me to love the subject even more. Outside of class, I regularly practiced through online competitions to gain experience and develop my language skills," Ngoc Nhan shared.

Le Trung Kien, a student in class 9E, is one of the outstanding examples. Having loved English since childhood, Trung Kien has persevered and made his mark in many competitions.

Even in 7th grade, Le Trung Kien won third prize in the city-level excellent student competition and third prize nationwide in the 7th grade category of the Internet English Olympiad (IOE). In the same year, he further demonstrated his abilities by winning a Bronze medal in the national round and a Silver medal in the international round of the FISO 2023-2024 online Olympic competition.

Sharing his experience in learning English, Trung Kien said: “My secret is perseverance and making the most of online learning platforms. I believe that when you learn with curiosity and a desire to explore, conquering a foreign language becomes easier.”
