The event was organized by the Van Mieu - Quoc Tu Giám Cultural and Scientific Activities Center in collaboration with Art Tree Art Workshop and the School of Interdisciplinary Sciences and Arts - Vietnam National University, Hanoi, to commemorate the 950th anniversary of the founding of Quoc Tu Giám.

More than a month after its launch (March 28th), the "Heritage Through My Eyes" competition has received approximately 400 artworks from children aged 4-15, both domestically and internationally.
The artworks, created using various materials such as crayons, watercolors, acrylics, pastels, and colored paper, reflect a naive yet emotionally rich perspective on Vietnamese heritage.

With the theme "Heritage Through My Eyes," many artworks recreate images of historical architecture, folk festivals, nature, and traditional cultural life.
Each painting tells a unique story about love for one's homeland, national pride, and the younger generation's awareness of preserving and promoting cultural values.

The competition is not only an art playground for children but also aims to educate about heritage and spread awareness of cultural preservation in the community.
The judging panel, comprised of art and heritage experts, selected outstanding works based on criteria of creativity, thematic relevance, and humanistic value.

The awards ceremony will include honoring winners in seven categories: the Diamond Award, the Gold Award, the Silver Award, the Van Mieu - Quoc Tu Giam Landmark Award, the Heritage Ambassador Award, the Hong Ha Innovator Award, and the Heritage Connection Artist Award, for the three most popular artworks on social media.

The organizers also introduced an exhibition of 40 representative works at Ho Van Lake and the Hanoi Museum, giving the public the opportunity to appreciate Vietnamese heritage through the eyes of children.
