Upon visiting the Ho Chi Minh Hall at the Muong Khuong Border Guard Post, our first impression was one of solemnity and discipline, yet also a sense of closeness. The space was utilized to its fullest potential, scientifically arranged with a system of documents about the life and career of President Ho Chi Minh. The thousand-year history of the country and the journey of national liberation struggle were presented through concise yet vivid and accessible images and words.

For Captain Nguyen Ngoc Anh, an officer at the Muong Khuong Border Guard Post, the unit's Ho Chi Minh Hall is a place of significant political activity. It also houses a small library with many books and newspapers, helping him accumulate more information and knowledge each morning.

For Captain Nguyen Ngoc Anh, studying and training in the hall named after President Ho Chi Minh is a source of pride: "The images and documents about President Ho Chi Minh and the traditions of the Vietnam People's Army remind us to constantly strive, train, and fulfill our assigned tasks well, worthy of the glorious tradition, and to continue to uphold the sacred sovereignty of the Fatherland's border."

During an experiential program commemorating President Ho Chi Minh's birthday (May 19th) at the Ho Chi Minh Hall of the Nam Chay Border Guard Post, many students from Nam Chay Ethnic Boarding Primary School were delighted to see images of President Ho Chi Minh and "Uncle Ho's soldiers" in the revolutionary cause and in defending the Fatherland.

Through simple stories and historical photographs, students are instilled with love for their homeland, national pride, and a sense of responsibility towards national border sovereignty.

Thào Xuân Doanh, a student in class 5A1, shared: “I was very impressed by the Ho Chi Minh Hall with its image of the brave and courageous Vietnamese border guards fighting to protect the homeland. Through the images and the introductions of the soldiers, I learned more about President Ho Chi Minh and the history of our country.”

Meanwhile, Lu Thien Phuc, a student in class 4A1, said: "Through this visit, I love the green uniform of the border guards even more. I hope to study hard in the future so that I can join the ranks of the border guard force and protect my homeland."

Lieutenant Colonel Truong Thanh Dung, Deputy Political Officer of the Nam Chay Border Guard Station, emphasized: “The unit always considers the Ho Chi Minh Hall not simply a place to display images and artifacts, but also an important space for political and ideological education for officers and soldiers. Therefore, the maintenance and supplementation of documents, and the organization of learning and political activities here are always given priority. At the same time, the unit always creates conditions for people, especially students, to visit, study, and research history.”

Over the years, the Provincial Border Guard Command has directed border guard posts to always pay special attention to and consider the Ho Chi Minh Hall as the "heart" of Party and political work. Its construction and arrangement must ensure solemnity, aesthetics, and compliance with regulations. In addition to historical documents, information about President Ho Chi Minh, and military traditions, units have supplemented the hall with documents and images reflecting President Ho Chi Minh's affection for the people of Lao Cai province. Simultaneously, units have arranged spaces to display achievements, victories, and memorabilia. The visual space features concise information and a diverse range of easily understandable images.

The Ho Chi Minh Hall has become the venue for many important political activities of border guard units, such as Party membership ceremonies, Youth Union membership ceremonies, ceremonies reporting achievements to President Ho Chi Minh, and political meetings. It is also where officers and soldiers directly study and learn about topics related to "Learning and following the thoughts, ethics, and style of Ho Chi Minh."

From these meaningful spaces, many positive values continue to spread in the border regions. Each officer and soldier feels even more proud of the glorious traditions of the force, contributing to fostering a sense of responsibility and a will to overcome difficulties among officers and soldiers on the front lines of the Fatherland. Each student in the highlands gains a deeper understanding and love for the nation's history and nurtures dreams of striving for a better life.
