At the store, Ms. Khanh Linh invested in nearly 200 sets of clothes, dresses, ao dai, yếm, maxi dresses to serve various purposes of customers such as birthdays, Tet holidays, mountain and sea tourism. The prices of the clothes range from 500 thousand VND to several million VND depending on the type and brand of the product and are regularly updated with new models and liquidated old models. In addition, along with the clothes, she also spends money on many types of accessories such as hats, handbags, glasses, shoes, earrings, necklaces, etc. for customers to take photos.

Ms. Khanh Linh shared: “Preparing to enter the tourist season, customers' demand for costume rental has also increased significantly, especially on weekends, the number of customers coming to my store increased 2-3 times compared to normal days.

At the store, the rental price for dresses and shirts ranges from 100,000-300,000 VND/piece/2 days; including free accessories such as necklaces, earrings, hairbands... As for designer dresses, branded dresses for wedding and evening parties, the price is more expensive, ranging from 500,000 - 700,000 VND/day.

In addition, to stimulate consumption, my store also has a promotion program for 10% discount for customers who send feedback photos or the same rental price for groups of 3 or more. With relatively reasonable prices, diverse designs, and accompanying accessories, the store attracts many customers from 18 to 30 years old and has stable revenue every month."

Sharing the same business idea as Ms. Khanh Linh, Ms. Nguyen Ngoc Thuy Linh, owner of Rent By Bif costume rental shop, Nguyen Tat Thanh street, Vinh Yen city, said that in the past, fashion rental service was quite popular in Hanoi but not much in Vinh Phuc. However, due to its convenience and savings, nowadays, renting costumes for traveling or "virtual living" has become a common trend.

Ms. Thuy Linh said: “The rental price of my store ranges from 100,000 - 280,000 VND/3 days for designer dresses and shirts. The rental procedure is very simple, customers can come directly to try on clothes or search on social networks, then choose a model, agree to rent, deposit money and send recipient information, the store will deliver to your door.

For customers in the province, only a citizen ID card is required, while customers outside the province must deposit 50% of the value of the item, and the deposit will be refunded when returning the dress. With that convenience, not only customers in Vinh Yen city but also many people from other localities now rent items through the store's online channel."

Through social networks, customers can easily choose models to rent clothes.

As a customer who rents costumes at the store, Nguyen Phuong Thao, in Tich Son ward, Vinh Yen city, confided: “Every time I travel, I mainly rent costumes to avoid waste because I only wear them 1-2 times and then “put them in the closet”. Moreover, the rental places now have many dress models, making it easier for me to choose.

Preparing for a family trip in April, I rented 3 dresses for only 450,000 VND for 3 days. The dresses allowed me to take beautiful photos with different designs and styles, while with that amount of money I could only buy one dress.

Not only in Vinh Yen city, at tourist destinations, costume rental services are also developing rapidly. According to Ms. Thu Hang, owner of Mun Vintage shop, Tam Dao town, "At the store, the majority of summer travel clothes such as monochrome maxi dresses, floral and tropical leaf patterns. In addition, bohemian (boho) dresses and shirts with liberal style, ethnic costumes with elaborate and eye-catching patterns... are very suitable for customers to have outstanding and meaningful photo sets when coming to Tam Dao tourist area".
