Xuan Hinh's music video "On Cha" (Father's Gratitude) currently has nearly 7 million views on YouTube.

Few people know that the person behind this touching song is businessman and musician Ngo Huynh. Musician Ngo Huynh, whose real name is Ngo Van Huynh, was born in 1978. Although he graduated from the University of Economics , he has a passion for music and is known for many songs about the love and sacrifices of parents.

In 2022, musician Ngo Huynh was admitted to the Thanh Hoa Provincial Association of Literature and Arts, and is currently the Deputy Head of the Music Department.

The musician said he wrote the song "Father's Gratitude" based on a true story of a close friend.

"I witnessed the story with overwhelming emotion because I'm also a single father. I understand what a single father raising a child goes through, so I wrote this song," he revealed.

Sharing about the opportunity to collaborate with artist Xuan Hinh, the musician said that it was the "king of comedy in Northern Vietnam" who contacted him and expressed his desire to perform this song because he felt the depth of the melody and emotion in each lyric.

Accordingly, "Ơn cha" (Father's Gratitude) is frequently chosen by artists to perform in television programs. Previously, singer Quang Lê also approached Ngô Huỳnh to collaborate on songs about parents.

Despite achieving success with many songs, music is not Ngo Huynh's main career path. After working in business, he often writes music at night, focusing on songs that express gratitude from children to their parents.

His musical inspiration often comes from everyday moments, especially when he's close to his parents. "I love my mother very much. One day, while looking at her, I suddenly burst into tears and sat down at my desk to write the song 'Mother's Gratitude' in 20 minutes. When the emotions were fully expressed, the music and lyrics flowed directly from my heart," he confided.

Besides a series of songs about family such as "Father's Gratitude, Mother's Gratitude," "Father's Love, Mother's Love," etc., Ngo Huynh also owns nearly 100 lyrical songs performed by many famous singers such as Tran Anh Tien, Khanh An, Hoang Hai, Ta Dinh Nguyen, Sy Hieu…

Starting from nothing and building his career, musician Ngo Huynh experienced many ups and downs and witnessed many different situations in society, which further fueled his emotions and empathy.

Ngo Huynh says he sees music as a way to express his feelings and find peace amidst the hustle and bustle of work. "I do business to make a living, but I write music to know I'm alive," he says. The greatest joy for the musician is seeing the audience moved by the emotions he conveys in each song.

Composer Ngo Huynh said he will continue composing music on the themes of family and morality, and will release two more songs in time for the upcoming Vu Lan season. He uses music to express gratitude to his parents and inspire the younger generation to live virtuous lives.
