In particular, the task of teaching Vietnamese to international students from Laos and Cambodia, in accordance with the Protocol (2000) between the armies of the three countries Vietnam, Laos, and Cambodia, is one of the important political tasks that the unit's commanders pay close attention to and provide strict leadership and guidance for.

To date, the results of Vietnamese language training from 2000 to 2026 are a source of great pride: 26 Lao and 10 Cambodian training courses have graduated with a 100% success rate, including 75% achieving good, excellent, and outstanding grades. It can be affirmed that Unit 871 is not only a place for imparting knowledge but also a place for building bridges of friendship, contributing to fostering solidarity and close ties between the three nations and three armies of Vietnam, Laos, and Cambodia.

At Unit 871, the task of teaching and learning Vietnamese is not simply a professional activity, but a continuation and development of the traditional fraternal neighborly relationship. Equipping foreign students with the language is considered the "key" to unlocking the door to knowledge, creating a solid foundation for generations of international officers to continue their studies and research at military academies and schools. Learning Vietnamese here is not just about learning a foreign language, but about learning a part of shared history, about the spirit of solidarity and sharing – "sharing a grain of rice, splitting a stalk of vegetable in half" – which has become a sacred symbol of the three nations. For the past 55 years, every lesson plan has been imbued with the dedication of soldiers on the cultural front, contributing to deepening the special solidarity and friendship between Vietnam, Laos, and Cambodia.

Throughout the teaching process, to help Lao and Cambodian students overcome language barriers and cultural differences, especially those from remote areas, Unit 871 has continuously innovated and standardized, improving the overall quality of training. The teaching staff, 100% of whom hold university and postgraduate degrees, are not only highly skilled in their fields but also act as approachable "cultural ambassadors," understanding the thoughts and feelings of the students.
To enhance training effectiveness, the unit has implemented several groundbreaking solutions, including: practical learning models, group activities, and organizing lively Vietnamese language exchange sessions between international students, Vietnamese students, and teachers from partner schools. Simultaneously, the delegation also organized seminars, cultural exchanges, public speaking competitions, and cultural sharing activities, providing international students with opportunities to not only practice practical communication skills and improve their vocabulary but also strengthen solidarity and friendship with Vietnamese students.

In particular, the care and camaraderie were further demonstrated through the thoughtful organization of activities during the traditional New Year celebrations of Bunpimay (Laos) and Chol Chnam Thmay (Cambodia), along with lively traditional games, creating a warm and joyful atmosphere for the students far from home. These practical experiences and cultural exchange activities served as a bridge, transforming each student into an ambassador carrying the image of a peaceful, loyal, and friendly Vietnam back to their homeland.
Approaching its 55th anniversary, Unit 871 is experiencing a vibrant atmosphere of emulation, affirming the character of a unit with a rich tradition. The unit's strength is built on close coordination between agencies and units, and close ties with the Defense Attachés of friendly countries. International students here are not only proficient in Vietnamese but also trained in disciplined conduct, strictly adhering to military discipline and state laws.
Looking back at the unit's formation and development, each generation of officers and soldiers has the right to be proud of the "seeds" of friendship they have sown and nurtured. It is the graduates of today who will continue to write the epic of solidarity between the three countries.
Entering a new phase, Unit 871 is determined to maintain its position as a "nursery" of friendship, so that the Vietnam-Laos-Cambodia bond will "forever flourish and endure," worthy of the trust and affection of the Party, State, and Army of the three countries. This is not only a source of pride for Unit 871 itself, but also a vivid testament to the strength of understanding and enduring comradeship throughout history, helping Unit 871 continue to write its golden history with pride at its 55th anniversary.
